It is a fairly large island, about 6 sq/miles, which offers spectacular Beaches, great Snorkeling along the Iron shore and reefs surrounding. There is a special Place where we can do some cliff jumping “Not too Difficult”, as well as explore some old carvings from ship wreckers. There are a lot of points of interest along the iron shore such as a small caves and spectacular “Blue lagoon” type coves. We will have lunch on the Beach where we have a BBQ set up, while watching eagle rays or wild birds such as Pelican, Osprey and sometimes Flamingo. After Lunch we will stop on a Beautiful Sand bar and search for Sand Dollars. This small Cay was used in the 17th by a French Pirate “Francis Lollonois” to ambush Merchant or Spanish ships. We will tell you some of the Real Pirates of The Caribbean History. French Cay is a Beautiful Pristine and remote Cay that is now a Bird and Rock Iguana sanctuary. French Cay offers spectacular snorkeling, in crystal blue water, with large formations of Elkhorn Corals, and great chance to swim with Eagle Rays As it is a Nature reserve we are only allowed to walk along the beach, and we will take our BBQ Lunch aboard Lady K and cook with our Onboard Grill. You will learn how to catch your own lobster with our Local Fisherman making several stops along shallow Reefs. Diving We are a 5 Star PADI Facility and Have Operated Diving Operations in The Turks & Caicos Island for over 25 Years We Offer Dives for Certified Divers or Beginners (Resort Divers) to Exclusive Destinations and spectaculars Walls and Reefs. The Number of Divers is limited to: - 2 Divers per Trip on a 2 TD Trip (Add 150.00 per Diver Include all Gear) - 4 Divers per trip for a 1 TD Trip (Add 100.00 per Diver include all Gear) Certified Divers Must have a Valid Certification Card and be able to present it to our DM before Diving. It is recommended to do a refresher Dive if you haven’t dive for over a year. A Refresher Dive can be part of the first dive of your trip or can be taken at the resort upon arrangement. Non-Certified Divers We do have a program available called the “Resort Course” This program is designed to offer Diving to Guests who would like to Try Diving without going out of the Way of Taking a Full certification course. The Course consists of a 1 hour of introduction to the theory, equipment and skills in shallow water. If that is completed successfully, the new “Resort” diver will be able to dive with one of our Dive Instructors to a maximum Depth of 40 ft. The ratio is 4 Divers per Instructor Maximum. We normally do the training in the AM at a Beach with easy conditions and in clear shallow water. The Dive can be either be taken right after the class on an half Day trip or whenever the guest would like During a Full Day. It’s fun & Easy!… starting at 10 Years of age! A medical Form has to be reviewed and signed before coming on the trip to insure that all candidates are fit for the activity (Forms are Available at the Concierge Desk) All Dives and Courses include all the equipment needed for the activity Fishing “Lady K” is well set up for Fishing as we have live wells, tackle Boxes, Outriggers on board and a nice transom to fish from. We can organize “Light Tackle” Fishing along the Reefs of The Turks & Caicos, as well as “Lobster Fishing” Deep Sea Fishing can be Organized as well on special occasions All Fishermen over 15 years old will be given a fishing license. Light Tackle (Add $50.00 per person for Gear and Fishing License) This is the technique of Fishing along the boat with a Fishing Rod at shallow depths. All Fishing has to be Low impact and light Catch, as well as Catch and Release. Our Goal is to give you a great fishing adventure, but to Considered the importance of being reasonable, and only keep whatever is necessary for your consumption, either on a Beach BBQ, or you can take it back with you at the Resort and have it prepared by your Hotel Staff. Most of the Fish caught along the Reefs and Walls are normally part of the Snapper or Grouper Family. Lobster (Add 50.00 per Person for Gear and Fishing license) The Lobster Season runs from August 01 to April 31 (Some years months vary so you have to check with us or Tour Desk) Lobster fishing can be more fun for some as it is more “Dynamic” in a way. Spear Guns are not legal in the Turks & Caicos and the local technique used is a special stick set with a large fish hook at the end. Lobsters are normally found on shallow reefs along the Bank in a depth of 10 to 30 ft. It takes a little practice but if you are capable to free dive a little bit and stay in the water for few seconds you will be successful at it. Our local Fisherman, will show you how it is done, but in case if you cannot get with the technique, don’t worry our Local fisherman will bring enough for the Cook out on a Pristine Beach. One more time, we are only operating low impact fishing and normally catch one lobster or two per person. Everybody on board will be given a Fishing License to comply to the Local Fishing Regulation. Definitely a great Day of fun adventure and discovery! Deep Sea Fishing (Call For Pricing) Lady K is set up with Outriggers, Live fish well, ice compartment and of course a nice roomy cockpit to fish from. The Deep Sea fishing areas are actually fairly close to the Resorts and we can start fishing in minutes as soon we hit the deeper waters just a couple miles away from your Resort.
