Thai Life - Activity Homestay (Chiangrai) - Experience the real Thai Life style. Our project is designed for travelers who want to experience so much more than just the usual that every other tourist gets to see. Thai Life Activity Homestay Chiangrai gives you a great opportunity to RELAX in the the real countryside of Thailand with staying at the Homestay surrounded by forest and rice fields on a small mountain in Baan Jam Krai, a small village between the three cultural cities of the north Chiang Mai, Phayao and Chiangrai. When it’s dark you can relax and enjoy the night on the mountain with your friends, listen to music, party around your camp fire and choose to sleep in the house or just next to the camp fire in a tent. Thai Life Tour activity choices: - Thai's Vegetation – Introduction Walk to local plants, spices, and edibles - Trekking to the village’s Chedi, Buddhist stupa on the mountain - How to drive a Motorcycle in Thailand - Learn safely in the countryside. Highly recommended for everyone! - Basic Thai Language Class – Useful vocabularies for your time in Thailand - Thai Food Cooking Class! Delicious organic Thai meals! - The Village Tour – Visit the local homes and shops - Lao Khao Thai Spirit Distilleries – Learn how it’s all made - Kanom Jeen - Rice noodle production - Cockfights and Gambling - Thai Silk & Silkworm Breeding: The origin of Thai silk - Massage or/and Sauna at the village’s Health Center - Fishing – Let the villagers show you how they get their dinner - Rice Cultivation: Try your hand at harvesting - Collect mushrooms and cutting Bamboo Shoots in the forest - Charcoal production - Used in cooking and as fuel by the locals - Pottery production – Digging clay, working and firing - Permaculture Operations - Locals make Methane from pig Waste - Wicker and cane – Furniture making - Visit Temple of Heaven and Hell in Phayao - Picnic and swimming – Kwan Phayao fludded city Driving stops: On the way to Chiangrai 1. Nongkuang Lake You will also receive an Information Booklet about the local life and activities you choose to participate. Thai Life - Activity Homestay is located in Baan Jam Krai Village in Chiangrai. Three ways for you to get there: 1. Catch a bus from Chiang Mai ( at Arkate Bus Station) to Chiangrai. At Chiangrai bus station exchange to the bus that goes to Mae Loi Rai/ PuangPayorm. This bus will stop right in front of the Homestay. Please note - there are only 2 buses a day. The first one leaves Chiangrai at 1 pm and the second bus leaves at 4 pm! (If you choose to go by bus, you will miss the hot springs, waterfalls, animal farm, rivers and more). or 2. Travel on a van with Sahrah. We will have breaks along the way to visit hot springs, waterfalls, animal farm, rivers and more. or 3. Rent a motorbike. Please note - this is not recommended if you haven't driven a motorbike before! We will of course drive with you guys and show you the way. With the motorbike we will also have breaks along the way to visit hot springs, waterfalls, animal farm, rivers and more. You'll enjoy all the beautiful sightseeing's along the way.
