1.Tha Phae Gate: The most popular spot in Chiang Mai for the Yi Peng Festival, especially for the release of sky lanterns (khom loi) and krathongs. There are also cultural performances, food stalls, and beautiful decorations.
2.Ping River: Along the riverbanks, especially near the Nawarat Bridge, people release krathongs into the river, and the sky is filled with lanterns. This is a scenic spot to enjoy the festival atmosphere.
3.Three Kings Monument: Another key area where cultural parades, dance performances, and lantern releases are held.

𝐇𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐦 is a fun activity where you ride wooden go-karts down a hill. These go-karts have no engines and rely on gravity to move. Tourists can enjoy this unique and popular experience, which lets them connect with nature and the local Hmong culture.
The price is 50 baht per person. You need to walk up the path starting from Yoddoi Cafe. When you reach the top, you can choose a go-kart that fits you. There are 1-2 seater and 3-seater karts available. You steer left and right with your feet, and the hand brake is in the middle of the kart.
It's recommended for adults because it's difficult to control. Older children can play, but they must be able to steer well because the path has curves. Children under 10 years old can ride with an adult.
