The dates of the Festival of Golf Itinerary have been moved back one week to enable guests to enjoy the amazing International Firework Display Competition at the end of the month

Currently, the GBP & USD are strong against the Thai baht and Thailand is offering great value. At the time of writing, there are almost 46 THB to the GBP the best rate for several years.

As we move into October the temperature is becoming a bit cooler, and from November we move into Thailand's high season. The perfect time to take a golf holiday in Thailand is between November and March when there is daily sunshine and little rain. Thailand has temporarily suspended the “Test & Go” quarantine free entry to fully vaccinated people – hopefully will be reviewed next month. This makes the tours we have on offer unworkable, also the bookings we have for Pattaya, Hua Hin & Chiang Mai. The only practical entry is through the Phuket Sandbox Thailand Pass project, where you can stay in Phuket Hotel with freedom to move anywhere on the island for 7 days, after a negative PCR Test, moving on to other destinations after the 7 days and a further negative PCR Test.

Due to this situation we will be offering 7 night packages in Phuket, which can be extended or you can move on to other destinations approved such as Pattaya, Chiang Mai or Phuket.

Otherwise its best to wait and see when restrictions are lifted, quite possible as we have reducing COVID cases, very few of which are serious – only 9 deaths yesterday all with serious pre-existing conditions I understand.

If you are planning a golf trip to Thailand, there have been a few changes in requiremenst since 21 December.

The popular "Test & Go" Package with only one night in Bangkok waiting for your test result has been suspended at least until next month

The Phuket Sandbox Program is still open and we can offer packages in Phuket, this requires you stay a minimum 7 days in Phuket Hotel before moving on to other tourist destinations in Thailand - such as Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Hua Hin and Bangkok

I believe otherwise arrival at Bangkok requires at least 7 days quarantine in a hotel in the program, we do not have access to these packages at the moment

I hope to be able to send a Newsletter soon with more specific details but the emergence of Omicron even though it appears less dangerous has caused an increase in overall cases

The vaccine program is well underway in Chiang Mai and other parts of Thailand and the Prime Minister has re-stated that he intends to open the country to tourists from the beginning of October, without compulsory quarantine. The golf courses are all in superb condition and we can’t wait to be visiting them with our guests again. The GBP, USD and AUD are stronger against the Thai Baht at the moment and currently there is at least a 10% gain – value for money wise compared to 2019. I am hoping the next newsletter will define our organised tours for 2022, and in the meantime we can take bookings for independent groups and travellers for Chiang Mai, Pattaya or Hua Hin for holidays starting from late November 2021

Looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel, with vaccines being rolled out at a real pace. There is real hope things begin to get back to normal from October 2021

The golf courses are all in excellent condition and none of our favourites have closed, likewise hotels are open, so we have written itineraries for our group tours from November 2021 through to end of March 2022

They are similar to last year and we are hoping to be able to offer a discount nearer the time, but no problem to reserve a place with no deposit required, fully cancellable. If things are more definite by the end of August we will be able to begin invoicing at a discounted price.

We can also quote for any independent arrangements for a golf tour for 2 people upwards, and will be pleased to prepare a draft itinerary to your requirements. Please note our service includes a full ground package – all transfers, accommodation with breakfast and golf.
