We are thrilled to share the successful completion of a repatriation by Europ Assistance South East Asia's medical team. Our commitment to providing unparalleled assistance and care was showcased in a mission that involved an insured individual's unexpected injury during a vacation in South Korea.

The insured, accompanied by her sister, nephew, and niece, faced a challenging situation when she tripped on wet floor and suffered a fracture. With precision and efficiency, our medical team swiftly engaged, ensuring the insured underwent a successful surgery. The recovery process was closely monitored, and on 29th Nov, the insured was deemed fit to return home. A crucial aspect of the mission was the collaboration with First Ambulance 🚑 for the ground ambulance transfer from ✈ KLIA, ensuring a seamless transition. The medical team and ground operations worked tirelessly, departing on 27th Nov night and completing the mission with the insured's safe arrival at her residence in Kuala Lumpur on 29th Nov.

We are incredibly proud to share the positive feedback received from both the insured's daughter and the insured herself. Their expressions of gratitude via email highlights Europ Assistance South East Asia’s commitment to providing a hassle-free hospital stay, arranging efficient transport back home, and maintaining a prompt and effective response throughout.

Amidst the beauty of a vibrant city of Paris, a challenging scenario unfolded as a 76-year-old mother, enjoying a holiday with her daughter and son, became a victim of a hit-and-run incident, resulting in fractures to her pelvic area. The complexity of the situation required a meticulous plan for her safe transfer back to Kuala Lumpur.

Over the days, our team encountered and overcame various challenges, including logistic intricacies. On 21st November , Europ Assistance South East Asia's medical team Nurse Melisa KParabakaran & Nurse Gwen touched down in Paris, ready to execute a mission that would reunite our patient with the care she needed back home.

The evacuation took place the next day, as we safely transferred the patient via stretcher, ensuring her comfort and stability throughout the journey and the mission reached its culmination as we handed over the patient to the capable hands of Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the exceptional teamwork, dedication, and resilience demonstrated by our medical team together with multiple ground operation such as Ville du Kremlin-Bicêtre Hospital ,Calypso Services, First Ambulance Services Sdn Bhd & Emirates ambulift team.

🌍✈️ "Grateful for the successful repatriation of a young mother with her 1-year-old newborn! After spending a month at hospital due to severe abdominal injuries from a tragic road traffic accident in Bern, Switzerland, she was finally fit for medical repatriation, handled by Europ Assistance South East Asia's medical experts. The young mother was safely transferred to a private hospital in Kuala Lumpur for further treatment. We wish her a speedy recovery. 🏡👩‍⚕️​

Last Friday, Europ Assistance South East Asia hosted a partners breakfast event in Malaysia to present the results of the 22nd edition of the Travel Holiday Barometer. Conducted in collaboration with Ipsos, the survey included for the first time the answers of 1000+ Malaysian respondents. ​

​After a warm welcome from EA SEA CEO Philippe Demangeat, Fiona Chew & Marie Duchesne-Ferchal presented the results: holiday plans & organization, favorite destinations, new travel practices, travel insurance trends for Malaysians were shared and compared to 14 other countries. ​

The Porsche Malaysia (Sime Darby Auto Performance) centre at Ara Damansara served as a perfect backdrop for the event. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and to meet new friends who share our passion for travel & mobility. ​

TRADITIONAL MERIT MAKING CEREMONY WITHIN OUR BANGKOK NEW OFFICE

Yesterday, Buddhist monks have blessed our office in Bangkok. During this auspicious day, all employees gathered together for a traditional merit making in the new office. ​

​One of the most important Thai traditional ceremony held to bless and bring good luck to business premises, the monks blessed the office and made markings known as a yantra above the main office window to ward off evil and bestow luck & health upon all of the company’s employees.​

Anytime, anywhere, we are here for you.

Recently, our Operations Team was once again mobilised to coordinate a medical rapatriation. The patient was suffering from severe injuries after a motorcycle accident in Phuket. After being stabilised at the ICU of a Phuket hospital, he was declared fit to fly and our team coordinated an air ambulance from Phuket to Bangkok and connecting with stretcher flight from Bangkok to Zurich.

A big thanks to all the people involved!
