It’s been all hands on deck for the cruise industry this quarter 🚢 Here’s how Singapore has been making a splash in the global cruise scene, with new achievements unlocked! 🌊
🚢 Building Knowledge and Collaboration
From the ASEAN Cruise Workshop to the Cruise Industry Forum, these inaugural events hosted by STB brought together a wide spectrum of stakeholders from across the cruise ecosystem and region, providing a valuable opportunity to foster collaboration, exchange insights, and chart a path forward for the industry’s continued growth.
🌏 Regional Engagement for Collective Growth
STB shared insights at the Shanghai International Cruise Summit (SICS) 2024 to foster collaborations and collective cruise growth in Asia Pacific.
📍 Anchoring Confidence in Singapore as a Cruise Hub
The office openings by MSC Cruises and Scenic Group in Singapore is a buoyant testament to the city’s appeal as a prime business and cruise hub. Scenic Group specifically cited the rising demand from affluent consumers, highlighting Singapore’s importance in the high-net worth market source market in the region.
🛳️ Welcoming New Ships and Maiden Calls
This cruise season has been particularly exciting, with Royal Caribbean Group’s Anthem of the Seas commencing its seasonal homeport. We also welcomed several maiden calls, including Silversea Cruises’ Silver Nova and AIDA Cruises’ AIDAstella, and played host to Adora Mediterranea and Blue Dream Melody as they made their debut voyages from China to Singapore and Southeast Asia. In addition, Disney Cruise Line also commenced its bookings for the Disney Adventure's inaugural sailings setting sail from Singapore in December 2025.
A huge thank you to all our partners and stakeholders for your unwavering support and collaboration this year. Here’s to an even more exciting 2025 with renewed momentum, as we continue to grow Singapore as a leading cruising destination!
