It has been a busy past two months and everyone here has worked so hard to bring new skills and joy to hundreds of children from Bangkok and South East Asia on expeditions and outdoor residential weeks. We hope all of those children and importantly the teachers that supported them, giving up their own time have a restful vacation and x-mas with family. They were determined to learn and improve, listening to theory of river hydrology, leadership and teamwork, looking after themselves and others, as well as have fun together and push on through difficult conditions with the sun beating down on them. We commend them for the learning that they did and the time their teachers took to stay with them.

Parents and kids should feel proud of what they achieved on the most recent camp; our camps are NOT easy - there will be challenges; we grow together when we overcome this hurdles - we become bigger, better, stronger versions of ourselves and we learn new skills in the process. Thank you parents for entrusting us with your precious children and thank you to all of the kids for your immense gusto, enthusiasm and hard work; see you next year!

Our penultimate day in camp; we are proud of everyone who took part as volunteers; for their service to the community, their reward was a wonderful nature hike and a BBQ (thank you helpers). our final camp this year starts 20th August so if you’d like your child to experience real growth, led by a teacher and a doctor, get in touch ASAP

Wonderful to see the engagement of the students on our summer camp, as well as the effort and fun to be had in the great outdoors. Learning and challenges abound; they were tired but dogged in their determination to finish and should feel proud of themselves, as should their parents feel proud of them.

The second of our camps of the July / August International school break started yesterday. Everyone got to know each other with games and icebreakers and this was followed up by everyone putting up their tents, cooking their own dinner, making a campfire primitively, singing songs, roasting marshmallows and story telling. Everyone will be tired; today we will do an introduction to stand up paddle boarding and a hike to the beautiful nearby waterfalls. Still places available for 9-13 year olds on our final camp on 20th August

The confidence, determination and culmination of learning of our students is evident in this final video of our camp (finished) on 27th July. It shows 2 groups over 2 days (younger and older students) on the same intermediate stretch of river. Well done to all of you; we are excited for the groups joining us on 6th August and 20th August; it is not too late to register for the camp on 20th August; all learning on our camps is overseen by a very experienced UK Qualified Teacher and a Doctor.

Yesterday at the Good DEEDs camp, our group of nearly 30 aged 8-13 year olds engaged with a village school in a brilliant project that they designed based on the theme of recycling; everybody learned together. In the afternoon half of the group journeyed on an intermediate SUP route whilst the other half navigated their way around a 7km labyrinth of goat tracks using maps and GPS devices. At the end of the day, some of the children assisted the instructors in preparing a wonderful rooftop BBQ

Day 3 of the camp has been full and tiring. Well done to the student’s learning family first aid with the Doctor, preparing their community project, learning and practicing new navigation skills via navigation exercise, of course engaging with some games and using technology appropriately to search out geocaches on bicycles, all finished off with movie night. Well done everyone!

Yesterday, we started our day by breaking camp (everyone packed up their tents and stuff and got organized for the big day ahead); some students volunteered to cook (thank you); we started the day with an amazing wilderness paddle, where the children challenged themselves to become more skilled, a lovely lakeside lunch and a hike to Erawan. After dinner, everyone started work on the community project. It was challenging for everyone in different ways, and we were all tired, but slept so well!!

A very important part of the paddling experience is a really top-quality paddle. If you are someone who paddles a lot, even if you do not have your own board, it is worth buying your own paddle. Our company just bought a large consignment of carbon fibre paddles, very strong and very light. We are able to pass on a very good deal to our clients, so if you want your own paddle, we have 2 piece @ 3800 baht or 1 piece @ 3300 baht (we cut it to your required size) carbon fibre paddles available; here is a little video made by Ohm, Joe and the team - as you can see it is very light and very strong and the preferred paddle used by our instructors. https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSLf1ppkH/

Heaps of family fun, learning and just getting out into a natural, clean and stunning environment. The past few days, the weather has been awesome - we love the rainy season; it is perfect for stand up paddleboarding on the river.

Thank you Nick Fenwick; you brought 3 families together, including the 6 kids from 8-13 years old; the kids had a challenge, learnt new skills and experienced nature, all including a good dose of fun with our experienced instructors. So did the adults! Come as a group of,families or register your children on one of our kids camps.
