Praying for everyone that plans to stay during this hurricane. If you were planning to come this week, please reconsider. Disney is working to remove guests from the Fort and space is limited. If you are staying, please be patient and considerate. Locals will be needing aid, and cast members are locals. So if Disney is short staffed in the coming days, please be kind and considerate and realize some cast members may be dealing with catastrophic loss of property or property damage. Praying for all on the coast and in central Florida.

Looking for ways to save? Look no further! Here are a few quick tips!
1. Avoid the most expensive dates! These are your most popular holidays.
2. Have a Sam’s Club Membership? Use those discounted Disney gift cards to pay on your trip and to make purchases in the parks!
3. Budget for snacks! You’ll want to eat all the delicious snacks Disney has to offer. If you’re not sure how to budget for this, consider adding a dining plan!
4. Skip the parks for a day and enjoy all the resort has to offer.
5. Don’t buy drinks and water. Bring your water bottle and have it refilled for FREE at any quick service restaurant.
6. Book your trip through Travelears to get the most bang for your buck!

Ok, let’s get personal. Many people have asked us over the years, how were you disciplined enough to save for your Disney vacation when your kids were so little and ya’ll lived so far away? The truth is… we weren’t 😬🙈 We knew if we didn’t take our daughter before she turned 6, it would be a missed opportunity to see the magical awe and wonder on her face (you know the look… when they truly believe every character is the “real” person!). It had always been a dream of mine to take my kids when they were little, but at the time a vacation budget just wasn’t a part of the budget🥹 It’s like they say, if you wait until you can afford to have kids, you’ll never have them. If we had waited until we could afford the vacation, we would have missed that window of opportunity when Peyton was 4 years old! So, I talked to a sweet travel agent friend at church that informed me it’s ONLY $200 to book the trip! She said, “just book the trip!” We took a leap, booked the trip and began to pay on it slowly over time. I would add $25 or $50 here and there to the grocery budget and purchase a Disney gift card and when they accumulated I’d use them to pay on the trip. We followed agents on social media and YouTube and learned how to make the most of our money, and within a year, we had paid off the trip! The best thing about booking the trip, it was risk free. Your money doesn’t expire. You can shift your travel dates if you need as often as you need to. You can make payments on your own schedule, as much or as little as you like… and best of all, your travel agent is free to you. Complements of Mickey himself! If you’ve read all of this, and you’ve been dreaming about taking your littles to Disney… I can promise you one thing. The magic and memories that come with it are priceless. We live in Orlando now.
