The Unusual Trip
The Unusual Trip started out as a concept of freedom derived directly from my personal experiences. More than once during my trips, especially in Thailand and South-East Asia, I happened to stumble upon places or situations in a totally random and unplanned way. These experiences most of the time led me to discover real little gems hidden in the urban fabric of the places I was visiting that I never imagined existed.
The objective of the page is to raise awareness about Thai Urban Culture and to try to explain Bangkok’s gastronomic, social and cultural realities that could seem difficult to interpret for an inexperienced traveler or simply for somebody who wants to know more in Bangkok urban culture and how this is changing radically the lifestyle of its inhabitants.
The idea is also to offer a support service for organizing small tours and visits for travelers interested in experiencing local life going beyond the most touristic places to discover the true essence of Bangkok.
Just some little information about me, my name is Bob, and I spent the last ten years in South East Asia based in Bangkok working in the marketing of a multinational, even in this case I found myself in this life path in a totally unusual way, I arrived in the City of Angels (the real name of Bangkok) with a scholarship to study the ancient Thai Theater with the idea of staying no more than 6 months … I have certainly extended my stay! I have always been interested in Thai language and culture that I have been studying rigorously for a long time and would like to share these experiences to help people making more informed decisions.
I wish you a good read and I hope that the information contained here can help you making better decisions!
The Unusual Trip nasce come concetto di liberta’ derivato direttamente dalle mie esperienze personali.
