Senior Cost Accountant in Pampanga 40k to 60k
Skills Needed: Budgeting, Reporting and SAP
Certification: CPA is an advantage
Work Schedule: Mondays to Fridays
Required Years of Experience: 4 years and up
Location: Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for cost analysis of the plant but not limited to finished goods and semi-finished inventory, preparation of financial statement and related General Ledger accounts and Sales and Collection Management
-Maintain internal cost accounting records for the manufacturing operations in accordance with the company policies
-Collect, create, and distribute critical cost accounting reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting periods.
-Monitor, and prepare inventory accounting reports on all classes of inventory maintained at the plant.
-Verify physical inventories of the plant and recommend corrective actions as needed. Follow up with functional managers on slow and non-moving inventory.
-Provide cost analysis and other ad hoc accounting reports as required by plant management and the corporate office.
-Diagnosis, recommend and correct inaccurate standard costs for raw materials, work-in process, and finished goods.
-Analyze labor and overhead spending variance, production variances, product waste and submit explanations a timely manner to department, plant and corporate management. Provide recommendations and solutions for improvement.
-Maintain and develop plant profitability tools and metrics for capacity, costing and other management decisions.
-Recommend corrective procedures and methods to plant and corporate management in accordance with company policies and generally accepted accounting standards. Participate in corrective action plans when directed.
-Provide assistance to department and plant management in preparing annual budgets and analyzing variances to budgets.
-Maintain, and update changes to the fixed asset records of the plant
-Prepare required cost accounting and inventory schedules necessary to meet the requirements of the external auditors
-Prepare financial justification for plant capital and investment spending requests.
Requirements :
-Knowledge of SAP accounting software is necessary.
-Proficient in spreadsheet analysis and other Microsoft platforms is required
-International travel may be required for training and conference attendance
-Proficiency in writing and speaking English is required.
-Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to accomplish tasks with co-workers and management.
