World Tourism Organization: Tunisia is healthy and safe to travel to
The Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili, confirmed yesterday, Tuesday, 2 June 2020, that Tunisia is one of the safest countries to travel to.
"Zorab Pololikashvili", during a phone call made by the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Mohamed Ali Al-Tunisi, appreciated the success that Tunisia had achieved in confronting the Corona epidemic, and it was an experience that sent messages of reassurance to the world.
The Minister of Tourism presented the Ministry's strategy to restore the tourism sector to its activities during the coming period, highlighting the health protocol in the field of tourism prepared by the Ministry of Tourism and Traditional Industries, which it sent and promoted to an important number of European countries and others.
Mohamed Ali Toumi, Secretary-General of the Organization, also briefed the organization on the various procedures for resuming tourism activity in Tunisia, especially with regard to the dates of opening various tourist establishments, as well as opening the borders, expressing Tunisia's full readiness in terms of the preventive measures necessary to receive Tunisian arrivals, whether they were or foreigners, to spend their vacation in our country.
He expressed Tunisia's readiness to cooperate with brotherly and friendly African and Arab countries to benefit from the Tunisian experience in this field.
