Щоб в'їхати громадянину України на територію Польщі, в країну Шенгену, необхідно мати візу. Подача документів в усі Візові Центри Польщі здійснюється тільки за попереднім записом. Польща видає два види віз: C (Шенгенська) і D (Національна). Своєю чергою туристична віза для українського населення в Польщі належить до категорії C. Якщо є охота (бажання) відвідати пам'ятки Польщі (та й інших країн Шенгенської угоди).
По ній громадянин має право починаючи від дати першого в'їзду протягом 90 днів за півріччя перебувати в Польщі і країнах вільного коридору. До цих країн відносять всі держави, що входять в Шенген зону. Кількість в'їздів не обмежена. Крім того, віза категорії C підходить і для транзитного перетину кордонів спільноти. Її оформити самостійно не доставить ніяких труднощів.
Вид D дозволяє відвідувати територію польської держави більше ніж 90 днів. Тим більше ці дні можуть витратитися як за одну поїздку, так і за кілька, починаючи від першої дати в'їзду. Видається віза такого зразка на 180 днів. Її умова: тільки ½ днів можна перебувати в інших країнах Шенгену, весь інший час - в Польщі.
