Villa Joy in the magical town of Kalkan, Turkey:
Villa Joy is a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa suitable for up to 8 people on the Kalamar Road, below the D400, with an easy downhill walk into town or to the beach club at Kalamar Bay. Locally, there are several highly acclaimed restaurants such as Porcini, Brothers and Aqua within couple of minutes walk. There is the Can Can supermarket and the wonderful hammam at the hotel Elixir, which is also recommended. The location is therefore perfect to access the best of all that Kalkan has to offer.
We are currently refurbishing (much of the work has already been completed) and will be ready to receive guests from May 2020.
The villa spans three floors, cleverly organised to easily accommodate our large family or two separate families without encroaching on each other’s privacy. The bedrooms are large, light and airy with large windows or a balcony terrace, from which, the views across Kalamar and Kalkan bays can be enjoyed (Two doubles and two twin rooms each with private bath, shower or wet room).
It is the outside space however, that really appealed to us when we bought - we think you will agree. The feeling of space across the plot is in stark contrast to many of the more contemporary styled glass villas available, where often the pool takes up much of the space. Villa Joy has a large pool (11.5m x 4m) but also has lots of additional space to sunbathe, eat, cool off, enjoy the sunset, play table tennis or read. We spend most of our time outside when we are on holiday and this space really works with our large family or groups of friends.
We have furnished Villa Joy with light and bright soft furnishings with splashes of colour coming from traditional Turkish lamps and artworks from local artists. We have also added heating for the pool.
The current archive of photos are those collected by the previous owners, before the refurbishment, and shows how the open plan living area also makes good use of space. We will update with new photos when the work is completed in April.
Dates are already filling up, with most of the UK school holidays already filled for 2020. Please contact us for availability for this coming summer and in to 2021.

We have availability on these dates and we are usually flexible with arrival and departure times, as long as we can get the turnaround completed efficiently for the next guest.
