It’s ✈️ 🌎 The checked vs. carry on debate is one we hear often and to each their own!

Here are our tips on how to pack effectively (and aim for carry-on):
- Use packing cubes to maximize space.

- Plan ahead with the essentials but save room for purchases abroad. Think outfits, not pieces.

- Roll, don’t fold!

- Rely on the hotel amenities for toiletries or purchase when you arrive.

- Wear the bulky items in the plan (boots, sweaters, etc).Depending on your final destination you should be able to pick for a week with carry-on only!

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗧

After a nearly 67-year legacy, the once-mighty regional Caribbean carrier LIAT (1974 Ltd) officially closed this week.

The airline, which has been in administration since July 2020, took its final flight two ago. Governed by shareholders from Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Barbados, St Vincent and the Grenadines, the decision to liquidate LIAT 1974 Ltd was collectively made in 2022.

While there are plans to relaunch LIAT (2020) through a joint venture involving the governments of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St Vincent, and the Grenadines, along with Nigerian airline Air Peace, the current closure has unfortunately led to all staff being made redundant.

Regional airline LIAT has announced it will wind down operations and close on January 24th.

News broke in reports by Barbados yesterday after their news desk obtained a copy of a letter signed by LIAT Administrator Cleveland Seaforth, dated January 2nd 2024.

The closure marks the end of an era for the iconic Caribbean carrier.

Just three months after announcing a resumption in service to Trinidad, Montreal-based airline Air Canada has now suspended the route indefinitely. In a statement to Guardian Media on Tuesday, the airline said, “Air Canada has currently suspended service between Toronto and Port of Spain for 2023. At this point in time, we have no plans for the resumption of this route.”
