About the teacher:

Ms. Riana Balliram has been a CAPE Management of Business teacher at Lakshmi Girls' Hindu College since 2010. She is the Head of Department-Business and has experience teaching CAPE Tourism and Economics and CSEC POB.

She worked as a CXC subject expert to review and update the CAPE MOB syllabus effective from 2024. She is a Supervisory Marker for MOB and has served as an item writer for MOB and Tourism.

She previously lectured Economics at the Department of Agricultural Economics & Extension at UWI and co-authored a CSEC POB text book : https://macmillan-caribbean.com/products/9781380034229

Her students have placed on the CAPE Regional MOB Merit List (Top 10 students in the Caribbean)
EVERY year, for the last 14 years and she has taught scholarship winners every year.

Her students have also won the President's medal-Shivrani Prabhudial-2015, Veshala Goon-2017,Amrita Singh-2018 and Nikeesha Nancoo-2021

Lastly, her students have copped the CAPE Regional Business Prize (Top Business Student in the Caribbean)-Sharda Goolcharan-2014, Seline Sundar-2018, Nikeesha Nancoo-2021, Arianna Beeray-2021(Tourism)

Emphasis on past papers, developing winning responses and understanding assessment expectations in the new syllabus from a marker's perspective.

I have not set Crash Course dates yet. For those interested it will be sometime in April on weekends. Usually, it takes one day per module-generally 5-6 hours per day to do a review of content and answer past paper questions.

Congrats to the 3 Open Scholarship winners from my last MOB U2 lessons class 2022-2023- Dayanara Raghunanan, Alisha Rampersad and Chelsea Hosein, who all attended my alma mater Naparima Girls' High School. Very proud of their superb achievement, considering only 10 scholarships are awarded in each category currently. They showed determination and perseverance. Very well deserved.
