IMPORTANT UPDATE AS AT 19 JULY, 2021:
With T&T's borders having been reopened on Saturday 17th July, there have been a number of calls and messages regarding Travel, please bear with us as we try to return all calls and respond to emails and Whatsapp messages within the next 2-3 days.
Please note the following points:
#1: Currently, we will deal with all those who had already purchased membership for Year 2020 or were entitled to year 2020 Complimentary Membership and now wish to RE-BOOK or BOOK A TRIP.
#2: Management has decided that we will not take in NEW members at this time, therefore there will not be any Membership cards on sale until possibly October 2021, depending on the circumstances that exist at that time. So again, from today until September 30th, only those who had Year 2020 Membership should make contact with us.
#3: Due to the long period of closure since March 2020 until July 2021, many Hotels and Resorts have suffered the economic impact of the Pandemic and in an attempt to avoid closure, some Hotels have changed hands and are under new Management. All contracts with Hotels were valid up to 31 December, 2020. New contracts will be sort from the Hotels and Resorts that have remained in operation.
#4: We will not post packages for booking but prefer that those who wish to rebook / book a trip, contact us once they ensure they are eligible for Travel to the particular Caribbean Island taking into consideration that some Islands are not accepting the Sinopharm vaccine as vaccinated status and travellers will be required to quarantine upon arrival (at the traveler's cost), some Islands are still under Curfew etc.
#5: It is recommended that all persons Travelling must have received their full vaccination and have proof of it via their International Immunization Cards available for check upon arrival at their destination.
#6. For all re-bookings, we kindly ask that Members please contact the Airlines first to ensure you can get accepted on a flight for your desired travel date and then the Hotel / Resort booking with Travel Club T & T will follow. At the start of the Pandemic most Airlines contacted Travellers via email and have granted credits to be used at a further date. As a result of this, Travel Club T&T can not assist you with re-booking air tickets online using credits but instead the Airline will handle this responsibility to re-book you for your new travel dates.
#7. Our operations will remain partially open until 30 September and hopefully will be fully operational from 1st October, 2021 when we can run the Membership for our usual period of October thru December of the following year, which includes 3 months of Complimentary Membership.
#8. We are aware that so many of you have been awaiting the reopening of borders to be able to take that much needed vacation. We all need it! However, please take all precautions with travel at this time especially if you have Children at home. Many things still remain uncertain regarding this virus and with the Delta and Lambda variants out there, it would be advisable to travel only if really necessary.
#9: With many of our T & T Citizens still to be vaccinated or fully vaccinated we anticipate a low level of operation and demand for travel in July and August (until all Adults are vaccinated). As a consequence of this, Travel Club T & T will not return to full operations just yet. The economic impact has affected many pockets and those who normally travel on a yearly basis or a couple times for the year may not be able to immediately return to it. Therefore we will seek feedback from Members on the fairness of starting off the Membership Program now to run for the 12 months for those who already bought Membership OR if the start should be delayed until September / October 2021. We will appreciate our Members' feedback so we can take decisions that will be fair to you and better serve you.
