【Life with aboriginals project】
Paridrayan, one of the oldest tribe of Paiwan people. After the typhoon in 2010, most of their people had been moving out from the village, but our friend – Udon chose to stay to protect the honor of their village. Here people live with nature, you might go collecting the honey in the forest with them, hunt with them, build a house, learn the true Paiwan recipe…etc. This trip is about live with Udon’s family, a trip always full of surprise. HOW LONG – at least 3 days(It’s up to you)

阿塱壹古道 – 台灣最後的海岸線，一切旅程從這裡開始，

【Recipe in Taiwan tribe - Parirayan】
Cinavu - one of the most important dish in this tribe.
We use ljavilu (the leaf of Apple of Peru, it's also original species here) to wrap millet, taro, wild pig's meat and so on 😜
Then wrap it with ngat (leaf of shell ginger) and steam it.
The tricky part is in the wrapping part, it required a certain way to do it, or it won't be good after you steam it.

【Life in Auba tribe - millet wine part 2】
Last time we talked about to steam the millet with banana leaf to make the core of millet.
After that, it take a few days cooling down a few days, today is finally the day to keep on~
Then we took the millet dough out of the leaf and knead it just like how grandma Saudhali, taught us (yes, it dose have certain way to knead it) and put it into a ceramic pot with a little bit of Taiwan quinoa for fermentation.
Then we are done 😁

Millet wine is traditionally one of the topnotch drinks you can get in whole year.
It's basically made from millet and quinoa through bunch of complex process, and different family would have different recipe.

【Alang Yi trail - Tribe Kucapungane】
In day 3 we are going to one of the most historic Rukai tribe - Kucapungane.
Well, it's actually the NEW Kucapungane, the old one has been destroyed by typhoon in 2010. So their people move to there to rebuild their village.
There, we meet aboriginal people, made tradition recipe with them, live with them, enjoy their awesome art.
It's a new village , but old friend's village.
Though it's winter now, but a waterfall is always worth expectation, ye?

【It's all about pineapple】
In Taiwan, Pineapple is definitely a everyday life for you could get all kind of the best pineapple all year long.
It's first introduced to Taiwan in Qing dynasty, then after several breed improvement, now it has become on of the famous fruit here. since it is the core of " 鳳梨酥 (Pineapple cake)".
Now is the season for our pineapple to grow leaf, soon after 2~3 months will be the time to enjoy those juicy delicacy.

Bala, which means "Guava" in Taiwanese, it's in season all year long, but the flavor comes with various taste with different season.
