Geologically speaking, the island was formed by three plates. The collision of the earth crusts make the island with 70% of mountainous area and there are incredible 268 summits with elevation over 3000 meters in a small island as 'big' as 36 thousand square kilo-meters. Among these magnificent summits, Mt. Jade, wins them all with the highest point at 3952 meters. If we talk about the weather, th

e location of Taiwan is right at the edge of the effects of monsoons coming from Siberian High and India. Hence, we have one of the strongest weather systems on earth, typhoon. With the help of seasonal winds, Taiwan is full of plants both in tropical and temperate climates. Culturally speaking, the earliest record of human activity in Taiwan dates back to Palaeolithic age. In the last 5000 years,the aborigines create magnificent cultures all around Taiwan. Furthermore, in the sheer five hundred years to date, Taiwan was colonised by five foreign political parties! All in all, these influences create the intricacy of Taiwan. It is very hard to find another place in the world like this small yet big island. Taiwan is probably not as beautiful as many famous tourist attractions in the world.
However, it's perfect for just letting loose.
