Cancelled Flights Due to Super Typhoon Egay (International Name: Doksuri)

As of July 25, 2023; 7:00 PM

Due to Super Typhoon Egay (International Name: Doksuri), Cebu Pacific has cancelled the following flights for July 26, 2023:
• 5J 196/197: Manila – Cauayan – Manila
• 5J 404/405: Manila – Laoag – Manila
• DG 6177/6178: Manila – Masbate – Manila
• DG 6031/6032: Manila – San Jose – Manila
• 5J 504/505: Manila – Tuguegarao – Manila
• 5J 506/507: Manila – Tuguegarao – Manila

Affected passengers have been informed via email and provided with the following options through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website https://www.cebupacificair.com/manage-booking:

1. Free Rebooking
Rebook without fare difference for travel up to thirty (30) days from original flight date. The fare difference will apply if the travel period is beyond thirty (30) days from the original flight date.

2. Travel Fund
Store the amount in a virtual CEB wallet valid for six (6) months and use this to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons (example: baggage allowance, seat selection, etc.)

3. Refund
The process may take up to two (2) months from the date of request.

CEB is also offering flexible options, either free rebooking or Travel Fund, to passengers who wish to postpone their flights to and from the following destinations:
•July 26 – 28: Caticlan (Boracay), Coron (Busuanga), Legazpi (Daraga), Naga, Taipei, Virac
•July 27 – 28: Cauayan, Laoag, Masbate, San Jose, Tuguegarao

They may avail themselves of their preferred option online up to two (2) hours before their scheduled time of departure through the Manage Booking portal.

This is a developing situation. As such, there may be more flight changes as the typhoon passes. Guests are urged to check real-time flight status updates via https://www.cebupacificair.com/flight-status.

OFFLOADING is one of the worst things that can happen to a traveler. 🚫‼️

Imagine the time and money you spent planning and preparing for your trip, all going down the drain.

Philippine Immigration Officers are very strict that can cause your plan go for naught.

Below are some tips for you not be offloaded by immigration officers in the Philippines.

Things to remember to avoid being offloaded:

1. Passport must still have 6 months validity.

Immigration are strict in terms of passport validity. Yes, you are only staying for a week but less than 6 months of validity is a sure offload.

2. Plane ticket (with return ticket).

You also need to prove that you're only going abroad for the purpose you declared and that you're coming back to the Philippines on the date you stated.

A round trip ticket is a start.But anyone can buy a ticket and not use it, So you need to show you have ties to the Philippines.

If you have property in the country, bring proof. If you're married, bring your marriage certificate. If you have a child, bring his/her birth certificate.

3. Ready your paid hotel booking voucher and Itinerary.

Prepare an itinerary and know it by heart. Know where you're staying. Where you're going, and when you're coming back. Bring the receipts of your plane tickets, accommodations, and any pre-booked attractions.

4. Prepare company ID and Certificate of Employment.

5. Bring proof of your financial capacity

6. Invitation letter / Sponsor letter

This is only applicable if someone has invited you or sponsored your trip, this letter must be authenticated from MECO.

7. Relax and Dress smart

Don't overdress or underdress. Wear clothes that say you're a respectable traveler.

Answer the IO's questions in a respectful but confident manner.

Don't lie, but don't give out unnecessary information either.

Just get to the point and give consistent answers.

8. Bring supporting documents such as:

✅Bank Certification,
✅Your latest income tax return (ITR),
✅Proof of property．

If you are employed, bring a:

✅certificate of employment (COE)
and an approved leave of absence (LOA).

(Some IOs apparently also require a photocopy of the company ID of the person who signed your COE and LOA.)
