【Connect to the world starting Singapore】

This week our management team landed Singapore for the WIT forum happening in Singapore. Not only we learned from the travel giants and unicorns around the world, we also brought out our best curated itinerary into our booth at the forum.

By one on one meetings and introduction, we let more people learned about Taiwan travel, also learned about us as DMC what we have done in terms of sustainable travel.

Many thanks to our wonderful partner 泛旅遊 RTM who bring us out to the convention and also provide us opportunity to have a booth at the forum. Also thanking for the "Taiwan Travel Wonder Team" - MyProGuide.com who share the table with us and provide amazing tour guide platform around the world, Like It Formosa 來去福爾摩沙 who provide amazing English walking tour in Taiwan.

It is such a fruitful experience for us, we look forward to see more travelers to come to Taiwan in the near future.

【Happy Birthday to Taiwan】

Today marks the 113 years old birthday for our country Taiwan. Every year on October 10th is the National day of Taiwan, aka Double Tens Day, in which people gather around on the street to celebrate.

Besides Parades, military performance, singing the national anthem and raised the flag together, we also have fireworks shows that happens in different cities in Taiwan. By celebrating the holidays, also showing the world about the perseverance in democracy of this country.

Have you joined the parade this year? Or you have seen lots of flags around the street. It’s truly a special day in Taiwan, if you’re here traveling by chance, you’ll definitely feel the vibe of Taiwanese people!

🤿 Snorkle with sea turtles is not a dream 🤿

Taiwan is an island surrounded by the sea. Besides the main island which looks like the shape of a sweet potato, we also have a lot of off-shore islands around.

In short island hopping is another good way for you to experience Taiwan. Down in the southern part of Taiwan, lies an island called Xiao Liuqiu. It’s the home town of sea turtles in Taiwan.

With a mild sea temperature all year long, and also a high percentage of seeing sea turtles,here is one of the most popular place for travelers who are in to snorkeling or scuba diving.

A Major earthquake hit Taiwan yesterday causing lots of casualties and damage to the eastern part of Taiwan.

The magnitude of this earthquake was 7.2, according to the report it is the second biggest earthquake happened in Taiwan within 25 years. The previous one which cause such big damage and impact to Taiwan was the 921 earthquake happen at the year 1999.

【The silver grass season in Taiwan】

Every year around autumn and winter, the land turned in to the water pallet of the Mother Nature.

This year surprisingly we have a relatively warm winter in Taiwan. The blooming silver grass turns the whole mountain in to whiteness. With a good weather day, it’s a great time to hike at Yangmingshan national park.

Highly recommended to walk around Qingtiangang hiking trail. Besides the beautiful silvers grass, you’ll also been amazed by the grass meadow with Buffalo small or big eating around the grassland.

【A spontaneous walk through time】

Have you ever tried not to planned anything before your trip?

Today we’re sharing a spontaneous trip happening right after a business meeting. We’ve walked around the old city part of Taipei, which is been known as the “Dadoacheng” area. Due to it’s deep relation with the tea, we’ve showed the guest in to a tea refinery that has been at the district for more than a hundred years.

After learning the tea industry and history, next stop we went to the local draft beer shop to experience how Taiwan’s local terroir can turned into beer.

You can also have a mindless, spontaneous trip in Taiwan.

【Nature Conservation】

Besides the typical ways of travel, what's else can we do?

With the special project that we have with the 關渡自然公園 Guandu Nature Park . You can jump into a frog suit, walk into the wetland and help the nature park to remove the Invasive Alien Species.

Last week we scouted the Jiajiuliao River located in Wulai by river tracing. Though the weather isn't perfect on that day, but with the professional coaches from 戶外星球探索工作室iflip outdoor , we still mange through, and got up to the gorgeous waterslide created by nature.

The annually held Qingshui Zushi pilgrimage in Tamsui, is a renowned religion pilgrimage happening during the dragon boat festival. Due to the first day of pilgrimage usually sacred at around 16:00, and last all the way till midnigh. The pilgrimage is also been called as an anfang (暗訪) or “night visit.”

Fire crackers are shooting, pious people are crowding , and dozens of “The leader of the parade(Zhentou)”are on the street. Even police are armed up on the street to in case of chaos or emergency happens.

Qingshui Zushi statue jointly worshipped by Qingshui Zushi temples in Tamsui and Bangka. It has many believers due to the ability to “give warnings by having its nose fall off.”

The people in Tamsui believed Lao-tsu protected the town in the Sino-French War and also enthusiastically welcomed the statue when it was paraded around to drive away disaster in the early Japanese Colonial Period when there were epidemics and the crops were struck by pests, showing that Lao-tsu became a joint belief of people in different communities of Tamsui.
