The pioneering east rift valley granary festivities(縱谷大地藝術季) 2020, the new art works present for you now. The first 6 art works all around Chíshàng(池上) area. Two in the downtown, Three at the Dapochih Wetland(大坡池), and one in the Wanan Village(萬安村). The 2019 art works all maintained. So you can enjoy it along the country highway 197(縣道197). Can spend half or a day here. And at this moment, also the rice field turn into gold color. landscape very beautiful. Chíshàng(池上), one of hot tour spot of Taitung. Seaweed bistro (藻堂食音), Heng-chun(恆春). A small bistro hide in the small alley. The owner was the boss of goat restaurant and bar(山羊飯館), restart the
career for the living and dreaming. Foods are good that no doubt. Live music performance not always, but you can enjoy good music here too. Some time may you can see the boss playing guitar with his band "Seaweed藻", and that is the bistro name of origin.

Donglong temple(東龍宮), Fengliao.(枋寮) A Japanese and Chinese combine style temple. The main worship Marshal Tanaka (田中大元帥). Yes, a Japanese. If you interesting about this temple history, you can find it on the Internet. I want to show the architecture. One similar was in Kaohsiung. Hóng máo gǎng bǎo'ān táng(紅毛港保安堂). Fengliao was a big township and can be the one stop on the way to Hengchun area(恆春區域) or Taitung(台東). You can spend some time here. Eating some street food, sea food, buying Wax fruit(蓮霧) or Mango, take a look local people life style, visiting some beautiful temple. You can find something new here.

Fast way, slow way.
In this year, Taiwan highway system almost complete. More fast and safe to every where Taiwan. As the highway 9, Suhua Improve(蘇花改), Suao(蘇澳) to Hualien(花蓮), almost save 1 hour drive than take old Suhua highway. As the Highway 9, South link highway(南迴公路), almost save 30 min than take old one. As Highway61, Western Coast Expressway(西濱快速道路), just little more drive time than Freeway 1(國道一號). And the bus system also almost complete. You can have a round Taiwan trip by bus from now on. Come on! Travelers! Welcome!

Highway 20, south cross island highway(南橫公路), Meishan(梅山) to Tianchi(天池) section. It just re-open several days ago, since the highway damage for 10 years. If fact, if you ride on the highway 20, you still can see some traces of the catastrophe. I want to say it's like geological landscape of live classroom, you will inspire by the nature. Tianchi(天池), one of famous tour spots of Highway 20, also as middle point. If pass it, you can reach to Taitung county. Now only left the final, also the hardest section to wait re-open. Tianchi(天池) to Xiangyang(向陽).
I have good memory to drive this highway, and want to go once again.

Winter season only. Hongye wild hot spring(紅葉野溪溫泉), Taitung(台東). Be careful the weather when you planning to visit. It's easy to reach, but also dangerous when rains come, or after the rain fall. And sometime you need to dig a new pool for yourself, because the river way change always, the hot spring will hide in the mud. And day time better than the noon time. you will not get cold easily. It have been a long time that never drive into the Highway 20, south cross island highway(南橫公路), Taitung section(台東段). By foreign traveler they plan to go Li-song hot spring(栗松溫泉), I got chance to go again. The road view change a lot, but the maple leaf more and more turn into red color. Nice season view will come. If you have strong feet, I strong recommend you to visit Li-song once. You will never forget. If no, please don't worry, a small pond of hot spring is near by the highway. Also you can have a wonderful hot spring time.

The EastRiftValleyGranaryFestivities(漂鳥197, 花東縱谷大地藝術季) is going on. Until Oct. 13th. All art works setting between Kuan-Shan(關山) and Chih-shang(池上), along the country highway 197. Some art works are not easy to find, better following the guide map. Also you need a car or motor, will save your time. It's a very special festival, no matter whenever you come, depend on the rice growing, Art works all will catch your eyes.

Jili Lake(吉利潭), a beautiful park at the north part of Guangfu Township(光復鄉), Hualien(花蓮). It's no so big, very good for take a break after long drive here. Guangfu Township has many tour spots, as sugar factory, Fataan Wetland(馬太鞍), Laso'ay wetland(拉索埃), you can have a half day trip here.

Cafechamber(秘氏咖啡), Tainan(台南). A very very secret cafe shop at Tainan city. With very movie scene feeling. In fact, the cafechamber has three shop in Taipei, Chaiyi, and Tainan. All very tiny but with really good taste cafe here. Best time to come about noon time. You can some delicious local foods that near by, then have a cafe to spend afternoon time. During the night time you can visit some famous old street. An easy and no rush day tour of Tainan city.

Do Vanwa(在海邊), Orchid Island or Lanyu(蘭嶼). It's a BAR & restaurant with live music place which located at Iraraley (朗島部落). With the nice sea view and sunset view, also the foods and drinks were yummy.
Very worth to spend time here. Come some foods and drinks and enjoy live music at the Summer night wind.
Summer time was hot season of Orchid / Lanyu. Very many tourist to go to visit. But please remember to bring more cash, because there's no credit card. And only one or two ATM, cash not easy to get.

kikuciyang cafe (奇古匠手沖咖啡), Hualien(花蓮). A secret cafe shop at Tafalong tribe(太巴塱部落) Guang-Fu(光復). One of the best Taiwan coffee bean you can find here. Good smell and good taste. kikuciyang was a Japanese pronunciation, nick name of the owner. It's not easy to find, but a very interesting place. If you pass by Guang-Fu, please stay awhile and have a cup of good cafe, you will have a wonderful trip.
