Crocodiles can go through 4,000 teeth over a lifetime, ..having between 60-110 teeth.

✓ When a crocodile loses a tooth, there is a small replacement already on standby.

✓ They are able to replace each of their 80 teeth up to 50 times over their lifespan.

Crocodiles have acute senses, including very good night vision, and are mostly nocturnal hunters.

✓ They use the disadvantage of most prey animals’ poor nocturnal vision to their advantage.

✓ They are carnivores, which generally means they eat only meat, ..however, a recent study proved they enjoy eating fruit too!.

✓ It has been studied that, “there is little doubt that, on occasion, fruit is deliberately consumed, often in large quantities“, along with their normal meat-heavy diets of mammals, birds, and fish.

✓ They are members of the order Crocodilia, which also includes alligators, caimans, and gharials.

✓ Crocodiles are semi-aquatic and live in wetland areas, freshwater rivers, lakes or saltwater.

✓ They prefer Sheltering in estuaries, lagoons, or mangrove swamps, rather than far out at sea.

Zebra stripes are factually confusing , ..in fact no one is completely sure why they have stripes.

✓ There have been lots of theories, including that the stripes help confuse predators.

✓ Some theories suggest that the stripes work to keep them cooler, while others show that biting flies don’t like to land on stripes.
..So, we can conclude that, it's likely to be a combination of all these things!

Each species of zebra has different types of stripes, too.

Zebras are members of the group Equus, which contains horses and asses.

✓ There are three living species of Zebra: ...I. The plains zebra (Equus quagga), ...II. The grevy’s zebra (Equus grevyi), and ...III. The mountain zebra (Equus zebra).

✓ Each zebra species has unique stripes, and they are native to the continent of Africa, specifically eastern and southern parts of Africa. ..i.e. Tanzania & Botswana.

✓ They are grazers, feeding mainly on grasses, and are the favourite prey of lions, ..and even hunted by leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, brown hyenas, and Nile crocodiles.

These horns grow continuously during their lifetime.

✓ White rhino's horn can grow 7cm every year and the record length is 150cm long!

✓Yes! Rhinos have poor vision, they’re unable to see a motionless person at a distance of 30m, ..they mainly rely on their strong sense of smell.

A group of rhinos is called a "crash" and there are "five" species of rhino in the world:

i.e. ..two African rhino species {black and white rhinos} & three Asian rhino species {greater one "horned", Sumatran, and Javan rhinos}.

✓ The Sumatran, Javan, and Black rhinos are listed as ‘critically endangered’ by the IUCN and there are thought to be only 66 Javan rhinos in the world.

✓ Sumatran rhinos left, are thought to be between 34-47 in number, which potentially makes them truly under threat of extinction in the wild.

By the age of four, giraffes nearly reach their full height, but they continue to gain weight until they are seven or eight years old.

✓ Males weigh up to 1,930 kg (4,250 pounds) while females can reach 1,180 kg (2,600 pounds).

✓ Their tails are about one meter long, adorned with a tuft of black hair at the end, and they sport a short black mane.

✓ Both sexes possess a pair of horns, with males having additional bony protuberances on their skulls.

✓Male giraffes "bulls" can reach heights exceeding 5.5 meters i.e 18 feet, while the tallest females "cows" measure around 4.5 meters.
