What most people don’t know about the Great Wildebeest Migration👇🏼

We can only witness this in July/August, right? Well, no!

Wildebeest actually migrate the whole year round, looking for fresh grass and traveling more than 1000 kilometers in a year. Their migration pattern is dependent on the rain but fairly predictable.

Some of the highlights that are wonderful to witness:

- Jan/Feb/Mar: This is calving season when the wildebeest give birth to thousands of calves each day.

- May/June: The herds start migrating north/west and some cross the Grumeti river. This is also the rutting season.

- July-October: The world famous Mara River crossings happen. This is a quite dangerous adventure for the wildebeest and a true spectacle to experience.
