“The Black Eared One.”
“The Black eared one.”
A great sighting today in the infamous Ngorongoro Crater by B2B driver guide Charles!!
A pretty uncommon encounter with this awesome mid-sized cat which usually prefers to move around as the sun has dipped down and all safaris goers are tucking into a good meal or already pushing some zzz’s out there to accompany the bush night chorus...
Caracal is a Turkish word for “black eared” and these magnificent hunters can take birds out of flight at 3 meters (10 foot) from a standing jump and when they give it some gas they reach speeds up to 50mph (80 km/h) so to say they are formidable hunter is an understatement.
Tanzania and the art of Safari brought to you by Bush2Beach Safaris – one never knows what can be encountered around the next bend…and no one safari is like another…
The living dinosaur
Ngorongoro Crater a bucket list destination
Tanzania safaris can be vast and wide as to where you end up whilst touring around the many national parks and world heritage sites. If venturing to the northern safari circuit then a must is the infamous Ngorongoro Crater with over 25,000 plains games wildlife to spoil yourselves upon, fantastic birdlife to keep the twitters out there focused for days on end, the biggest predator population per square kilometer and last but certainly not least the extremely rare and highly endangered black rhino.
If you are super lucky whilst on game drives of the crater floor you may just see this relic from a prehistoric time out in the plains which is a sight to behold and treasure. It is also one we all must preserve and protect so that our children’s children can have the fortune of seeing this magnificent herbivore in its natural environment rater than a bronze statue reminding us that they were once here!!
Thanks to B2B driver guide Charles for the great video clip – he even commented that he has not seen a black rhino so close for a long time and how magical it was!!
Migration update the moving masses!!
The day in life of a wildebeest
The hunter or the hunted !!
A very luck sighting - B2B driver Edwin Lyanga whilst out in the Ndutu area which borders the famous Serengeti National Park came acorss this female cheetah with x 2 kids - she was succesfull in her kill...life out on the endless plains a daily survival against life and death - are you the hunter or the hunted!!
Bush2Beach Safaris - let your imagination run WILD !!
After more than 14 years of designing custom made adventure safaris in East Africa we are certainly not hiding and to make sure the visitors to Karibu/kili fair noticed the B2B team this year we went out of our way to make the funkiest, fun meet and greet set up that the fair had yet to see!!(We thought!!) Sadly the judges for best stand did not appreciate our efforts but it did not damper our spirits or those who visited us over the 3 days event..
The ironic part of it all is even though the B2B model car did not have an engine or gear box! it still leaked oil we will be taking this up with land rover to understand more from their technical department.
Joking aside to agents, clients family and friends thanks for your support over the years and we look forward to revealing more hidden secrets that TZ holds – jump on board the new B2B model car to let you imagination run WILD where ever you want it to take you.
#Ngorongoro Crater - Hyena with buffalo leg
Charles Kessy - B2B driver guide captured this great footage of a Spotted Hyena running from the scene where he had clearly scavenged this great tip bit!! he was not hanging around to share it with others...you can see other buffalo grazing in the background. #Ngorongoro be sure to make it one of your bucket list.
Escape the colds of this February with a short trip to Tanzania you will be amazed at what Tanzania has to offer.
Straight out of Ngorongoro – B2B driver guide shared a smart phone image with us yesterday – shame it wasn’t shot with a 300mm zoom as it would have made for a great reflection image, thanks Charles for the bush update! ...The Safari season is booming out there!! The migration is in full swing with thousands upon thousands of Wildebeest gathering on the open plains leading through to Ndutu area of the #Ngorongoro Conservation, plan now and reserve your spot for the greatest wildlife spectacle known to man.
Serengeti Migration
Slightly old footage taken in August 2013 but just to prove that we actually do get out the office from time to time and enjoy breathing in the smells, sights and sounds as much as everybody else. The video clip was taken up in the Northern extremities of Serengeti with what looked to be a build up for a river crossing!! this soon changed into a lot of confused Wildebeest.
Anyone for a wee drop of blood!!
Once again this video is a follow up to the Bull Sacrifice, it also contains graphic images so watch at your own discretion, these type of sacrifices are for special occasions such as circumcision and marriage. There would have been no less than 200 Maasai that came from surrounding villages for this big day, Bush2Beach and Isoitok Camp were invited to record, experience and join in the event – warm beer and plenty of meat eemmm!!! it was a fun day that’s for sure to which we witnessed traditions and practises that I had never see in all my time in Tanzania.
