Wet Season Magic!
African Wild Dogs are always on the move, covering vast distances in search of prey. Just spotting them is a privilege, but having a whole pack trot past our vehicle is pure safari gold! Curious as ever, they paused to investigate—whether it was us or just a quick chance to nip away those pesky flies from their more sensitive spots. The bush never fails to surprise! #zumbua #ruahanationalpark #safarilife #kichakaexpeditions #ruaha #rusticluxury #safari
No matter how often it happens, the feeling of absolute awe in the close presence of these mighty animals never fades!
Brief moments like these—up close and personal—are what stay with our guests forever, creating memories that last a lifetime. #ruaha #ruahanationalpark #safari #tanzania #kichakaexpeditions #zumbua
Bushpigs are common and widespread across Africa, yet they remain elusive due to their secretive nature and nocturnal habits. So you can imagine our amazement when we stumbled upon this little fellow in broad daylight at the start of our morning walk!
Completely unfazed, he wandered right up for a sniff before spending the next 20 minutes foraging around us—an unforgettable encounter with one of Africa’s most secretive creatures!
Surrounded by so many Elephants we were spoilt for choice with where to look!
Patience and perseverance while stalking allowed us to anticipate the herds movements and get to the swamp ahead of them and watch them pile in to drink.

There is no more beautiful time of year for Ranger training. The wet season is slowly winding down now so we have found the time to get some good training in for our friends at S.T.E.P (Southern Tanzania Elephant Program).
The lovely bull became a little protective over his fallen pods once he found out we were watching. This was a strange almost jumping demonstration I have never seen before!
The Winterthorn trees are in full fruit at the flycamp! As always the hungry Bulls accompany this dry season bounty.
