MEET JOSEPH! Joseph Pirianoi is one of the heartwarming faces of TAASA Lodge, and has been part of our team for over 4 years! As an exceptional housekeeper, he takes pride in creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for our guests, ensuring every stay is memorable. 🧹✨

A proud father with a passion for music and football, Joseph grew up in Ololosokwan Village alongside his six siblings. As a child, he loved singing Maasai songs, dancing, and exploring the bush—experiences that have stayed with him and inspire his work every day. Joseph’s love for his job is matched only by his enthusiasm to constantly improve his skills. One of his favorite things about working at TAASA? The chance to meet new people from around the world. 🛏️🌍

A truly unforgettable moment for Joseph was when he found himself face-to-face with an elephant right outside the tent he was cleaning—an encounter that truly shows the magic of being in the wild! 🐘 We’re so lucky to have Joseph as part of our TAASA family! 💚

In Samwel’s hands is a powerful reminder of nature’s raw realities—a male lion skull from a dramatic battle that unfolded right here on the concession two years ago. The lion was killed after an intense two-to-three-hour fight against two rival brothers, a clash for territory and mating rights. In the wild, dominance doesn’t come easy, and battles like these are part of a lion’s brutal struggle for survival and power. With jaws that open 28 cm wide and 7 cm-long canines designed to rip through flesh and hide, lions are undoubtedly the apex predators of the savannah.

Meet Loya! Loyarate Narikai is one of the cornerstones of TAASA Lodge and has been with us since day one. His keen tracking skills and deep connection to nature play a vital role in crafting unforgettable experiences for our guests.

Born and raised in Ololosokwan Village, Loya spent his childhood exploring the wild – climbing trees, collecting wild fruits, and learning the ways of the land with his six siblings. These early adventures sharpened his instincts and set him on the path to becoming the exceptional tracker he is today.

When he’s not out in the bush, Loya is a proud father of six and enjoys relaxing with a football match or birdwatching. What drives him most about his job? The chance to explore new places, meet fascinating people and encounter rare wildlife. 🦁🐾
