We have a story of Simba Jr. But before hearing it, many of you have been asking what a brief itinerary is for hiking Umbwe.

Normally, most of the climbers take 6 days to accomplish hiking Umbwe. But Simba Sr. recommend us to hike for 7 days . This means this group will have enough time for acclimatization.

The Umbwe Route is a short, steep, and direct route that's considered the most difficult way to climb the mountain.

BRIEF ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival and transferred to Hotel in Moshi. Kili Wonder Hotel.
Day 2: Travel Kilimanjaro Wonder Hotel to Umbwe Cave Camp
Day 3: Travel from Umbwe Cave Camp to Barranco Camp
Day 4: Stay at Barranco Camp
Day 5: Travel from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Day 6: Travel from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Day 7: Travel from Barafu Camp to the summit and then to Mweka Camp
Day 8: Travel from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and then to a hotel in Moshi.
Day 9: Transfer to the airport to take your flight back home.

What to expect;

●The Umbwe Route is steep and challenging, especially in the first two days.
●The route is not recommended for people with little altitude experience.
●The route is suitable for strong hikers who are confident in their ability to acclimatize.
●The route is less popular than other routes, so you may see fewer other trekkers.
●The descend is made on the Mweka Route.
