On the the eastern Escapement of the great East African rift valley in Northern Tanzania lies the Lake Natron Basin, which is also a Ramser site a wetland of international significance. The area is surrounded by dramatic landscapes including the Oldongo Lengai Mountain meaning the "Mountain of God" in Maasai language. The mountain is an active volcano and often proffered as a hiking destination for adventurous travelers. Visiting the ares you can explore on one of our arranged guided hikes through the Maasai village, a visit to Ngaresero waterfalls and the lake or take the hike to the mountain. We highly recommend to extend your stay here for a minimum of 3 days, accommodation is normally arranged as per guests requests and budget. Following moths of tight measures due to Covid 19 , finally Tanzania government has opened up its boarders again.
This means people can travel again to Tanzania. To make travel safe Tanzania Ministry of health has anounced Standards Operating Procedures for all stakeholders working in tourism this includes mandatory clearance check of Covid 19 when travelling within the coutry and taking all necessary healthy precautions to stay safe.

Today most of them are staying at home with no jobs to support their families following the spread of COVID 19 that has massively affected the tourism industry in Tanzania.
