We love checking out venues for our lovely couples.
Chumbe Island is an all-time favourite. I've been visiting it since I first arrived in 2010, but this time, I had my first overnight stay! Amazing!!! Plus, we were lucky enough to be the only guests staying on the island.
Although I did get the heebie jeebies a little as it grew dark (I watch far too many murder mysteries!😱) I spent most of the evening lying on the beach, staring up at the beautiful starry skies, spotting fire flies, listening to mother nature.
Here, on this unique conservation island, you can enjoy snorkelling, lazing on the beautiful private beach, exploring the island, enjoying the stunning lighthouse views, and even enjoy a night walk to see their protected ginormous coconut crabs.
It's the perfect place for couples wanting to really get away from it all and have an intimate barefoot wedding and honeymoon.
I simply love this place - and hope you'll love it too.
