Elephants drink between 100 and 200 liters of water each day, using their trunks - made up of 40,000 to 60,000 muscles, far more than the 600 muscles in the human body - to draw water and spray it into their mouths. Their trunks also serve as vital tools for gripping, smelling, breathing, and communicating, making them indispensable for foraging, social interaction, and self-care.
