commemorate freedom from colonialism that came with independence and many more. Bagamoyo Historical Site - Bagamoyo has played various historical roles in Tanzania. Apart from being a slave and ivory port, it was also a German headquarters in 1891. Explorers such as Burton, Speke, Grant, Livingstone and Stanley all passed through this town. Zanzibar Island Tour - Zanzibar is the ultimate Indian Ocean experience, with its fascinating historical Stone Town and magnificent beaches. Visits to Stone Town, swimming with dolphins, diving, beach holidays, sand bank picnic, jozani forest tour, sunset dhow cruises, spice tours and many more. Southern Circuit National Park - Southern Tanzania is home to some of Africa's best national parks and game reserves. There are two parks, Ruaha and Mikumi National Parks and Selous Game Reserve that provide the most awe-inspiring encounters with lions, elephants and wildebeests. Mikumi is a smaller national park, but its proximity to Dar es Salaam makes it handy for those without the time for the full safari but who still want to see some wildlife. Northern Circuit National Park - With snow-capped Mt Kilimanjaro, the wildlife-packed Ngorongoro Crater and the vast plains of the Serengeti, northern Tanzania embodies what is for many quintessential Africa.
