You’ll have lunch on the way to the gorillas perhaps in Kabale City or any other destination as advised by your professional driver guide.

Meal Plan: Full board
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Today very early after having your breakfast at the lodge, 6:30 am, your guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts before hitting the forest on the search for mountain gorillas.
Briefly, this park is the only forest in Africa which is home to both gorillas and chimpanzees so you are very likely to spot the highlights of Africa’s most sought great apes in their natural habitat.
Trekking to see gorillas in Bwindi takes basically 3-5 hours however it can also take longer depending on the movements of the specific gorilla family you are likely to track, that is why clients are often advised to go with packed lunch, plenty of drinking water and possibly snacks.
You are also advised to wear long sleeved but light clothes before embarking on the trek, to avoid thorns and scrubs from the thick rainforest, a rain coat could be an added advantage as well because the weather in Bwindi is un-predictable.
After meeting the specific gorilla family, you are tracking, clients are always given an hour of sharing moments with these gentle giants and after you will return and meet your guide for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
This lake is Africa’s second deepest and could be the most beautiful on the continent. It is dotted with 29 different scenic islands each with its traditions and cultural backgrounds. You will have an evening relaxation here from the hustle and bustle of the gorilla encounter.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Accommodations: Lake Bunyonyi Overland Resort
Meal Plan: Full board
Day 4: Transfer to Entebbe for your departure.
Today after having breakfast at your lodge, we will transfer back to Entebbe for your flight back home, we will have stopovers at the Uganda Equator for a quick snapshot and buying souvenirs for those who will be interested and that will mark the end of our spectacular 4 day and 3 nights safari to the gorilla highlands.
