Odesa added to UNESCO's World Heritage List amid threats of destruction. The historic centre of the port city of Odesa, in Ukraine, has been inscribed on the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) World Heritage List, 11 months since the full-scale Russian invasion.

One more reason to taste borscht when you travel to Ukraine next time!

📝 UNESCO Committee for Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage unanimously decided to include Ukrainian element "Culture of Ukrainian borscht cooking" into the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.

🍲 Borscht is inalienable part of the Ukrainian culinary tradition. Despite the diversity of recipes which depends not only on regions, but also preferences of families, it is a symbol of unity of Ukrainians.

It is a tremendous victory on the culinary front for Ukraine in the face of Russian ambitions to appropriate and destroy our cultural heritage! And now it is recognised worldwide 💪
