Khmelnitsky Art Gallery
The art gallery in Khmelnytsky was created back in 1986, but it was opened for visitors only six years after the reconstruction of an old building erected at the beginning of the 20th century. Currently, the museum has approximately 8 thousand works of art created by 40 contemporary artists. An exhibition of works by G. Vereisky, a famous national artist, is organized here. 8. Khmelnitsky Museum of Local Lore The museum presents a large number of household items of the Podolsk region. The exposition of the museum is presented in six halls. The museum fund has over 62 thousand exhibits, of which 6.5 thousand belong to the archaeological collection, and more than 9 thousand to the numismatic collection. Museum visitors can see a wonderful collection of porcelain from the late 19th - early 20th centuries, furniture and fabrics, as well as icons, old, modern weapons, household items. The museum contains archival materials on the history of not only Podillya, but Ukraine as a whole. The museum has a library with more than 20 thousand publications, including about 3 thousand unique items of the 19th century.

6. Synagogue of craftsmen In the regional center there is a temple of Judaism, characterized by its compact size. The synagogue was built in 1890 in the quarter where Jewish bakers lived. Since the early 1990s, the religious and cultural center has again found itself in the possession of the local community. The synagogue was reconstructed. Its opening took place in September 2009. Here you can visit an exhibition of photographs of Jewish tombstones and monuments. There is also an exposition of items of Jewish religious life.

Museum of History in Khmelnytsky 1996 - the year of foundation of a cultural, educational, research institution - the Museum of History. Its rich exposition will acquaint visitors with the history of the city of Khmelnitsky since its foundation, demonstrate the life of the townspeople in different periods - Polish-Lithuanian, Russian, Soviet. Photo and art exhibitions are organized here. The museum fund contains approximately three thousand and a half exhibits of various nature and themes (fragments of Trypillian dishes, household items, as well as tools of the late 19th - early 20th centuries, old documentation relating to the history of the glorious city of Khmelnytsky, and much more).

In the 19th century, the area where the temple and other buildings adorned was a remote part of Proskurov. She was called Zavalye. In 1824, most of the Zavalye was set aside for burials. In the middle, a small church was built, which was consecrated in honor of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. During the Soviet era, it was empty. In the late 80s of the XX century, it was decided to build a new temple. The grand opening of the cathedral took place in 1992.

The religious building at first served as a regimental temple of the forty-sixth Dnieper infantry regiment. The church was located on the territory of the town where the military lived, and was called Saints Peter, Paul. The temple was built of bricks in the Byzantine style with one top. The bell tower of the church consists of three tiers, dating from 1906. The building was empty for a long time, after the Soviet power came. And only in 1996, the Church of St. George was revived from the ruins and returned to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

1. The Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin The Nativity of the Virgin is an old building, erected in the style of classicism. The building was built on the site where the Proskurov Orthodox Church, founded in the 17th century, was located. During a fire in 1822, it completely burned down. The icon of the Mother of God was the main miraculous shrine of the cathedral. In 1937, it was closed, and the premises were used as a warehouse. Today the temple is functioning and is a quiet, cozy place. It belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
