Transformation of the society.
It’s hard and painful to watch but it is the new reality of life in Ukraine.
These guys who went to fight for us and lost their limbs come back home to their families and they need a special approach, a new kind of support.
When we see our injured soldiers on the street of Ukrainian cities we don’t know what to tell where to watch not to hurt the person.
I’d like to tell you about one Ukrainian artist. Her name is Marta Syrko. She shows their bodies with respect but also very vividly. There is nothing to hide. It is the result of war. They are among us and paid this terrible price for our sovereignty.
The project of Ukrainian artists helps Ukrainians and other indifferent people in the world to see that those brave heroes who lost their arms and legs have souls and feelings as we do.
These pictures help to approach the support of these people with sensitivity and support.
This is a new reality in Ukraine.

Not only Prague is full of Ukrainian flags but also it has a tram painted in Ukrainian colors.
Unfortunately, tram number 22 doesn’t go to my neighbourhood but I am sure I’ll meet it someday in the streets of this beautiful city.
It’s a symbol of the friendly relationship between the Czech Republic and Ukraine.

The tram will operate for 6 months.
"We hope that during this time the war will be over," said Zdenek Hřib, deputy mayor of Prague for transportation.

On St. Andrew night - the night of December 12 to 13 - girls tell fortunes about their future husbands.

Tradition 1💖

Special round buns were baked - each girl made various patterns on the bun to recognize her bun. The buns were put out in the hall, and a hungry dog was let in, whose bun the dog would eat first, that one would be the first to get married that year.

Tradition 2💗

On St. Andrew night, the girls usually went out of the house at midnight to ask the name of the first person they met - whatever name he called will be the name of your future husband.

There were special traditions in Kyiv for fortune-telling
According to the legend, about two 2000 ago, Apostle Andrew climbed on one of the mountains of Kyiv and predicted that a great city would appear here. And this mountain is called the Andrey's Mountain in Kyiv. Later in 1747, the St Andrew's church was built on it.
This church is a real pearl or our city.🎆🎆🎆🎆

And on December, 13th on St. Andrew night ladies in Kyiv went to the service in St Andrew's church. And after the service, they would stand near the church and ask the first man they met what his name was. Sometimes the students would joke and call themselves with scientific terms like Coefficient or Neon.

Catherine Belokur during her life created about 100 amazing floral fantasies. She was born December 7, 1900.

Catherine did not spend a single day in school. The lack of primary education prevented Catherine from studying at an art school. She went to Mirgorod on foot to go to art school Just imagine the distance from her home to school was about 250 km. She took the best drawings with her, but she didn’t accept the papers without her certificate of secondary education.

In 1934, desperate to resist her mother, she tried to drown herself in the river in her mother’s presence. It was only after the su***de attempt that Mom allowed her to paint and did not force her to marry.

Three paintings were exhibited at an international exhibition in Paris in 1954.
After seeing them, Picasso inquired about their author, and when he was told that it was the work of a simple peasant woman, he said: «If we had a painter of such a level of skill, we would have made the whole world to speak about it»

Today, her works are on display in Kiev Museum of Folk Decorative Art. Which is situated on the territory of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra

The accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986 was the most severe in the history of the nuclear power industry, causing a huge release of radionuclides over large areas of Belarus, Ukraine, and the Russian Federation.
The Chernobyl accident was the result of a flawed reactor design that was operated with inadequately trained personnel.
The resulting steam explosion and fires released at least 5% of the radioactive reactor core into the environment,
Considered history’s worst nuclear accident, the Chernobyl disaster killed 31 people directly, including 28 workers and firefighters who died of acute radiation poisoning during the cleanup. Experts believe it likewise caused thousands of premature cancer deaths, though the exact number is disputed. To this day, the area around the plant remains so contaminated that it’s officially closed off to human habitation.
However, the area is open for tourists, and after the release of the HBO “Chernobyl” series, many travelers visit Ukraine and Kyiv with the solemn purpose to see the abandoned site with their own eyes.
