🔍St. Vladimir Cathedral.

🔍It is famous for paintings of a very talented Russian painter Victor Vasnetsov.

🔍Its constructing and building took more then 30 years, the plan was changed couple times, the calculations were wrong or the budget was too tight. Was decorate in neo-Bysantine style. The whole cathedral is built like a memory King Vladimir, the king of a Kievan Rus, so was desided to decorate it like it was in common in his times.

🔍Was built in a beginning of 19th century, so it's not really old, but it looks marvelous.

🔍There are few advantages of being not so old- a free admission and a good shape🧐

🔍This is a Kyiv Hisyorical Museum. 4 floors of a pure history! A totally amazing place!

🔍But my post is not about a museum now, it's only about an _ancient pagan temple_ which located on the territory of museum.

🔍Well, basically nobody had proved it, but the archeologists of 1900 had no clue what else it could be. 🧐 So, let it be the temple. The pagans of VIII century were very religious. Yes, it's such an old thing!(of course the real remains(stones) are preserved in the museum archives)🧐

🎨His lab is just over there, in the main building of Kyiv Mental Hospital. He is really nice and ready to give a tour to his exhibition to all friendly strangers.

🖼His works remained me of the works of very famous worldwide ukrainian artist Mariya Primachenko, who works in a naive stile.

🖼Viktor hasn't got any magnets, but you can just visit his really unique exhibition, which shows a very creative soul.🙌

🔍The Arch of Friendship. Made of a titanium.

🔍Was a monument of 60 years of USSR. The black monument are the russisn and ukrainian workers that hold a sickle and a hammer. Yes.

🔍Two years ago peope drew a crack on it. Becouse after an annexation of Crimea and a war in Donetsk region the frendsheep the friendship between Russians and Ukrainians has cracked.

🔍They also wanted to take down the black statue, but the catch that it costs a fortune and it's too expensive for the city budget for now.

🔍There is a terrace between it. It's free. One of a must-visiting point.🥰

🔍It takes a whole hill, pretty big territory which looks like a park with many sculptures in some sudden places.

🔍This colourful sculptures it's a reference to Ukrainian self-taught artist Mariya Primachenko working in naive technique.

🔍Kreschatic - the main street of . It looks wide, majestic, well-attended and attractive. People like Kreschatic, that's becouse there are crowds of people all the time.

🔍It was bombed out during the war, in 41. Bonds belong to USSR army, they don't want that enemy would get it. A huge disaster made dy people. Fire lasted 4 days. Then Stalin rebuilt it in his own stile, monumental and majestic, as you can see.

🔍This phase is worth to see, no doubt. It is a heart of a city. But please don't forget about other places. There are lots of cool and interesting places around it. Nothing can live with a heart only!🧐

🔍It called "Wall'ная душа", which is play on words "wall" and "free spirit or soul"

🔍This mural is propadly one of the oldest murals in Kyiv. Becouse it declares that artists is not free to Express themselves on the walls. They was doing in on carriages, under some bridges, broadly in some abundant places, which couses that some great painters waerenever seen by a large audience. So Angel's it's a beginner artists who are suffering of this ruls and are fighting for every free peace of wall.

🔍But since that time Kyiv changed its attitude to murals. Every artist can make mural, he should just ask for a housing and mainternance servise permission .

🔍Church of Pyrogoscha was called "the Phoenix".
It had been burned out three times, but it had been renovated also three times. Every time the renovation was provided by famous architect of that time. And every time it had got a different stile, which appeared to the current century: baroque, renaissance, classicism

🔍The last renovation was in 1990th, it was made in ancient russian architecture stile(Byzantine), with a massive walls and decorative arches, so it gives a mixed fillings.

🔍1.The monument of Princess Olga.
There was a famous story(legend) about how tricky she was and how cruel was her revenge for murdering her husband Princ Ihor. About she kindly asked citisens of evel Iskorosten to collect the post pigeons from the each yourd of a city, then tied to their legs some dry tree branches, set fire to it and let them fly home. Sounds impressive, but there is some moments:

▶️There were many tries to restore this experience of burning out the town with a birds. Even Myth busters did something like this. But no one experiment got succeed. It's totally impossible to burn out a village with a birds. Actually the berds with fire was flying not home, but away of home, properly they'd tried to save their nest. So it doesn't work.

▶️In that time (917-950th) people had already had "the Greek fire", which was widely used in water battles and a sieges of towns. Now we know that this substance was closed to our saltpeter. So would be much easier to use it then play games with pigeons.

▶️This interesting and fascinating legend is travelling around the world. There are a few cities in Europe and China with the same story in its legends. Which makes it a famous plot of a folklore only, and moves further from a facts.

Besides it, the Princess Olga was a great politician and was a ferst reign who brought a convert to Kievan Rus.

🔍2.The two statues on the right are Cyrill and Metofius. They invented the cyrillic alphabet.

🔍3.The left statue is apostle Andrew of a First Call, who pointed his arm on this hills and propheted that here will be a magnificent and glorious city. His worlds became truth.

🔍St.Andrew's cherch is the only one cherch of Kyiv without bells. The reason is simple- it was build for only one person, quin Elisabeth. The function of bells to call people to the mess. But as the whole cherch was build for only one person, there was no bells or parish .

⛔Unfortunately it's still renovated, but hope kne day it opens the door for visitors again.

Also it has a terrace behind it, with a totally breathtaking view of river Dnipro and the surrounding city.

🔍The monument of the intelligentsia. One of four birds - the sparrow.

🔍 The sparrow represents the pride. This bird is usually harmless and calm, but in moments of danger and injustice, or a threat to society - the bird became a rebel, which is a reference to a Revolutuon of Dignity 2013-14🇺🇦.

🔍Also the crow claims that the intelligencia remembers the past.
The owl said that the intelligentsia raises the present. The kingfisher adds that the intelligentsia retains future.

The National Opera of Ukraine. Looks gorgeous inside and outside.

💯Opera with a very strong troupe. Our ballet school is stronger then the moscow one for sure! The Opera building is 120 years old, It is as beautiful as The Covent Garden, The Opera Garnier and The Metropolitan Opera, but it 20-40 times cheaper.

💵The most expensive tickets
in stalls cost 20 euro for regular performance. 🎫

🎶🎻It calls Theatre of opera and ballet, so they give 5-6 performances per week half of opera half of ballet. Could be The Swan Lake, The marriage of Figaro, Spartacus, Romeo and Juliette(the most difficult ballet ever), Zhizelle, The Sleeping Beauty, Aida, Carmen, Don Quixote and many other classics. Also worth seeing the brilliant performances of Ukrainian autors.
