Enjoy 5 days in Queen Elizabeth national park. The safari begins from Entebbe or Kampala the capital city of Uganda. On your safari, you will be able to view a variety of wildlife with our 4WD Safari vehicles or by using a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel. The park inhabits wildlife species such as hippos, elephants, crocodiles, African buffalo, leopards, waterbucks and tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. Day 1: pickup up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
This will depend on your time of arrival. After having breakfast, our guide will be ready to brief you about the safari as you plan to visit western Uganda.
On the way you will get gazed at the spectacular landscapes of tea plantations, Rwenzori mountains and crater lakes.
Upon arrival, you will go for an evening game drive or take a boat cruise at Kazinga channel to spot hippos and crocodiles along the banks and other animals like buffalos, warthogs, Uganda kobs, and many more. After the game drive you will embark to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Primate Trekking, Kyambura Gorge & Crater Lakes Experience.
Here you will be briefed by our professional guides on how to trek the chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge. Your trekking experience will take 5-6 hours as you continue in the mid of the forest. You will view abundant primates species such as colobus monkeys, and baboons and a successful clear view of different bird species like blue-headed bee-eaters, falcons, kingfishers and many more. As we proceed trekking, you will start viewing chimpanzees and you will be excited as they tend to do their routine work such as jumping, hunting, gathering fruits, feeding their babies etc. You will have a chance to capture video clips, and photos with them.
Later you will embark on your safari with a driver guide to crater lakes for a visit to Lake Katwe. You interact with people in the community and on how to extract rock salt from the lake.
You may again visit lakeNyamunuka and Lake Bunyampaka. After in the evening, your driver guide will take you back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to IshashaSector to spot tree–climbing lions
Early in the morning, After having your breakfast, you will have a briefing from your guide about the safari and tree-climbing lions. But before the first game drive will be done and view the sunrise in the mist. Again you view big cats like leopards and lions and many bird species as they normally appear during morning hours.
After you will embark to your lodge for lunch and refreshments.
Immediately at noon time, you set off for your safari to Ishasha Sector to spot tree-climbing lions. These are well filmed in noon hours lying on branches of Sycamore trees, cactus trees, and acacia trees. Other animals like buffalos, waterbucks, and elephants can be viewed as well. After a full-day tour in the Ishasha sector, you will drive back to your lodge overnight.
Day 4: Full-day boat cruise experience at Kazinga channel
Early morning you will have breakfast and later a drive to the landing site. The Kazinga channel connects two lakes that is Lake Edward and Lake Gorge and it measures 40km long. You will spend 4 hours on the cruise as you view the epic scenery of Queen Elizabeth national park and abundant wildlife species like hippos and crocodiles, birdwatching can be done as well with species like fish eagles, kingfishers,yellow-billed stork, hornbills, and among other. After you will embark to your lodge for lunch or dinner.
After having lunch, to complete a full-day tour, your driver guide will take you on a sunset game drive to view the animals you missed in the previous game drives. Later you will drive back to your lodge overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe int.Airport or Kampala.
Breakfast will be ready and after you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala. You may go up to tour and have lunch on the way .you will have a stopover at any Hotel in Mbarara if not at the Equator in Kayabwe, where you will purchase some craft items like drums, paintings, portraits and take photos. You will proceed to Kampala and our vehicle will drop you at any place of your choice.
This remarks 5 days in Queen Elizabeth national park. There are no activities planned for the final day and you are able to depart the accommodation at any time.
