They are known as water turkeys for their swimming habits and broad tail. Another nickname is the snake-bird because of the way they swim with just their long neck and head sticking out of the water.

They swim lower in the water than many other birds because they have reduced buoyancy due to wetted plumage and dense bones.

In the heart of Uganda, there is a majestic place called Murchison Falls. It is known for being the most powerful and awe-inspiring waterfalls in the world. Visitors from all corners of the globe would flock to witness its sheer might and beauty.

We had cleints from the USA arrive filled with excitement and anticipation. They had heard tales of the incredible power of Murchison Falls and couldn't wait to experience it for themselves. As they approached the falls, the sound of rushing water grew louder and louder, building up their anticipation even more.

Finally, they stood at the edge of the falls, mesmerized by the sheer force of nature before them. The water cascaded down with such power that it created a magnificent spray. Our clients couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the sheer magnitude of Murchison Falls.

𝐇𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐬

It was truly a remarkable experience to witness such a large gathering of hippos on the Nile river. We were fortunate enough to see around 70 hippos, each group consisting of approximately 4 to 7 individuals. It was a captivating sight to behold and truly showcased the beauty of nature.

𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭:

𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬 are known to be very protective of their male counterparts. They will fiercely defend the males from any potential threats, whether it's other hippos or predators. It's a wonderful example of teamwork and support within the hippo community!

Baby baboons!

They are absolutely adorable!
Baby baboons are known for their playful nature and mischievous antics.

They have big, expressive eyes and fuzzy fur that make them irresistible. Just like human babies, they rely on their mothers for care and protection.
As they grow, they become more independent and start exploring their surroundings.
It’s fascinating to observe their social interactions within their baboon troops. They learn important skills from their parents and older siblings, such as climbing trees and foraging for food. Baby baboons are definitely a delight to watch in the wild!

Did you know?

* Nearly all chimpanzee populations have been recorded using tools, modifying sticks, rocks, grass and leaves and using them for hunting and acquiring honey, termites, ants, nuts and water.

* The species has also been found creating sharpened sticks to spear small mammals. Its gestation period is eight months.

What is special about the Crested Crane?
