The Biritanyi Gorge was cut through a hill and land owned by one Kimasi Tom with a portion of about 60 meters long tarmack to allow the Biritanyi River waters to flow above the road surface instead of a bridge as they cross the road.

The Beauty of the Gorge is the paved 60 meters road in a S shape that allows the waters cross on the surface making everybody travelling to Lush subcounty to wade through. The beauty of this made man tangible site is pleasing to the eye.

We Found this local grain store (shirara) in Bupoto Namisindwa District.

Once the corn/maize is harvested and dried, it is kept in Shirara as seen in the images. The shirara stores food until the dry season comes around. That's when the grain it taken for grinding, so that the family can have it as posho or porridge.
