Rwenzori, Rwenzururu or Rwenjura mountain is also known as the mountain of the moon. Its the third highest mountain in Africa. Its the only mountain in Uganda that has its peak (margherita) covered in snow.

Lake Bunyonyi is located in the south western Uganda between Kabale and Kisoro districts, and it's close to the boarder with Rwanda.
The lake is located at 1,962 meters above Sea level, about 25 kilometers long and 7 kilometers wide making it the second deepest lake in Africa after lake Tanganyika in Tanzania.

Lake Bunyonyi is most popular for it's green and lush beautiful terraced hills that are blessed with a plethora of over 200 diverse bird species. The immersion into the Nyombi swamps reveals a variety of assorted birds. Uganda is a home of over 5,000 chimpanzees living in diverse regions of the country. Over 1,500 chimps are found in Kibale national park making it the most popular chimp home but also best known as the major chimp trekking site in Uganda. Other chimp trekking sites are Budongo forest, kalinzu forest,kyambura Gorge and many more.

Before visiting and trekking chimps you are briefed.Here, you are advised not to smile at them or mimic there calls. The gestures takes on different meanings for chimps as they heavily rely on non-verbal cues to communicate and a show of teeth maybe interpreted as a sign of aggression.
