FACTS ABOUT SHOEBILL STORK.
They are called shoebills because their beaks are shaped like shoes.
The tips of their beaks are very sharp and used to cut prey in half or decapitate them.
A fully grown shoebill is around 4 feet long and 5 feet tall.
A shoebills wingspan can be up to five times larger than its body.
Male shoebills are bigger in weight, height and bill size than females.
Shoebills can live to be up to 35 years old.
They make sounds similar to machine guns.
They can be known to attack each other, especially when they are young.
They stand still until prey gets close and then ambush.
They can eat crocodiles, but prefer monitor lizards and lungfish.

In Uganda, lions enjoy a reputation as king of the beasts and are popular symbols of royalty, strength and bravery.
lions live in a fission-fusion society which is a fairly rare social system similar to chimpanzees.
individuals have different home ranges that overlap so that they regularly meet and come together.
lions are social animals.
lionesses are responsible for hunting.
lions are nocturnal.
lions are defined by their mane.
lions are critically threatened wildlife species.🙂And even after the insecurity in the park a few months ago, they still enjoy their Ishasha section.

THE AFRICAN ELEPHANT.
It weighs 6000kg (6.6 tons) and measuring up to 3.3m(10 ft.) at the shoulder able to live between 50-70 years while some up to so years .
Elephants are known for their incredible memory.
Elephants will walk at the pace of their slowest member, with infants surrounded by nurturing members of the herd and their young babies are always protected from the elements, like wind, the rain and the sun.
Elephants live in herds, which are highly organized social groups of 6-20 elephants led and guided by an older female leader.
As well as being the largest land mammal, elephants have the longest gestation period of all animals at 22 months

There are two species of gorilla eastern and western gorillas are very social animals who live together in groups.
Gorillas can weigh over 200kg and stand as tall as an average of human.
Adult males are known as silver backs.
Gorilla are very clever, and have been recorded making and using tools.
We share around 98% of our DNA with gorillas
They are one of the biggest, most powerful living primates.
They can eat all day long.
They cozy up at night.
They have 16 different types of call.
They live in family groups.

Established around 1906 as a fishing ground for Asians, Jinja has grown to a high raising population of above 90,000 people. Jinja has an average temperature of 22.8 degrees centigrade. The coolest month is June with temperatures 21.7 degrees centigrade and warmest March with temperatures of 36.7 degrees centigrade.

It also houses the source of the longest river River Nile.
