Saint Charles Lwanga was a young man in Uganda during the late 1800s. Despite the persecution of Christians by King Mwanga, Charles, and his fellow Ugandans remained steadfast in their faith, risking their lives to worship and pray. When Mwanga discovered that Charles and the other pages had become Christians, he ordered their torture and ex*****on, but they remained resolute in their beliefs, inspiring others to follow. Saint Charles Lwanga is remembered today as a martyr and a symbol of the enduring power of faith in the face of oppression.
