Lake bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa,
Its located in south western Uganda in the highlands of kigezi , its shared by Three districts of greater kigezi that's kabale, Rubanda and kisoro districts
Lake bunyonyi was nicked names bunyonyi which reflects aplace of different birds specie's around the lake
Being the second deepest lake, and aplace of adventure, most of the tourist's travel to uganda to visit and see lake bunyonyi
The distance from kabale town to lake bunyonyi cover's about 8-10km
Lake bunyonyi has known 29islands of which 4Islands are man-made and 25Islands are natural Islands
One or two that has made lake bunyonyi famous, there is akampeni island which means punishment where by girls who could early pregnancies due to the disrespect of cultural norms where Left at the island to starve from to their and being eaten by vultures
Bwama island has also made lake bunyonyi as a famous lake because it's where leprosy patient's where treated from
