Exciting news you would love to know is that there’s a new born gorilla baby in the southern section of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-Rushaga.

The baby was born to Adult Female Mucecuru who is a member of the Bikingi gorilla group, famously known for the Gorilla Habituation Experience.

The baby was first seen yesterday but is expected to have been born on the night of Friday, 2nd February 2024.

This new birth brings the total number of mountain gorillas in the family to 09 (nine) individuals. We congratulate Silverback Kaharata (the dad) and Mucecuru (the mom) as well as the whole Bikingi family on this great news. We wish the baby a long and happy life.
