Belzona Repairs And Protects Leaking Transformer Turrets

The corrosion had led to a loss of wall thickness. Some of these thinned areas had begun to leak. Loss of oil from the transformer represented a safety & environmental hazard. A fast, long term repair was required to fix the problem. No hot works are allowed due to the presence of oil.

Corn and soybeans falling as the conveyor belt lifts the grains up was causing enough abrasion on the backside of this vertical belt to wear off a complete layer of rubber leaving the layer of the fiber exposed. The wear is worse right next to the joint actually wearing through the fiber layer.

A customer needed a long-term repair in lieu of repairing it every 2-3 years as they have done in the past. The trough was hard to keep clean due to damaged concrete and no coating. Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed) was used for the repair and Belzona 5811 (Immersion Grade) was applied for a long-lasting protective coating!

This 30" diaphragm was not performing as it should, so Belzona was asked to rebuild it. The pump was originally installed in the 1960s and has been operating pretty much full time since. Once opened, the cause of the lack of performance was revealed as there was quite a bit of and metal loss.

These steps were repaired using Belzona 4111 to rebuild and topcoat with Belzona 5231 & 5233 to make them brand new again. The customer had to annually repair and reseal the various slabs of concrete since the original expansion joint material had failed. This annual repair problem was eliminated by installing Belzona 2211 (MP Hi-Build Elastomer) and Belzona 2221 (MP Fluid Elastomer) system. How can we help you?

A chemical manufacturer's absorber bubbler throat had developed a number of holes within the vessel compartment due to erosion/corrosion. Pre-formed mild steel plates were cold bonded to the substrate using Belzona 1121 to completely encapsulate the area and Belzona 1391 was applied to coat it from future corrosion damage. corrosion protection.

Belzona 5871 can be applied by brush, cartridge or plural spray, expanding upon application to produce a lightweight, closed-cell foam. This reduces the surface temperature of metallic substrates to below 60°C (140°F) whilst providing corrosion protection.
