“Conserving Water for Tomorrow”
Since 2011, Advance Irrigation specializes in quality maintenance of sprinkler systems and irrigation system design. We are dedicated to the practice of using water efficiently to reduce unnecessary water usage. We do this in several ways:
1. We take the time and opportunity to share simple water saving methods whenever possible. Simple things that anyone can do. How many times have you driven by someone’s home and the sprinklers are watering while it is raining? The simple addition of a rain sensor can stop unnecessary watering. The sensor is a water conservation device connected to an automatic irrigation system that causes the system to shut down in the event of rainfall. Some irrigation rain sensors also contain a freeze sensor to keep the system from operating in freezing temperatures, mainly where irrigation systems are still used over the winter. We want to take the time to educate our customers on the advantage of and the preventive measures that can be used to save water.
2. Through regular sprinkler maintenance and focusing on what other activities individuals can do to reduce water consumption, we as a community can help lessen the impact on our water supplies. Did you know that regular sprinkler maintenance can find leaks that go unnoticed? One of the benefits of a sprinkler system is its conveniences. However, the sprinkler system does require a regular system check to make sure everything is working correctly. The sprinkler heads and nozzles should be fine-tuned to reduce runoff and improve water coverage while identifying any leaks that could potentially leak hundreds of gallons of water over time.
3. The focus in our sprinkler system design is efficiency. Proper sprinkler design should not only follow all state and local laws but should also include a through site examination to gather all necessary information to prepare the design. It is, however, included in the installation process and a copy will be left with the customer after completion of the sprinkler system installation. The TECQ requires that customers receive a copy of the sprinklers system design for their records. A copy of the design can also aid in repair and maintenance. In short, a solid design not only accounts for the external factors in the sprinkler system design but supports water conservation methods in the sprinkler design.
