Battle of the Blue and Gray playset, Marx, 1960's. The clear plastic covering was curled and shrunken, and had to be removed to flatten out the cardboard backing, and to touch up artwork. The upper left corner graphics were recreated. Some of the artwork had adhered to the plastic, and needed to be carefully aligned before it was glued back in place. A frame was created to hold down the four outer edges of the plastic, which were then glued in place onto the card, and pressed atop the frame with 100 pounds of weight until the glue dried and the plastic flattened. Miller Time.
