Saying "see ya real soon" to the beautiful Disney Wonder and our amazing Alaskan adventure this morning. I can never stay away from Disney Cruise Line for too long ... and I have another Disney adventure right around the corner!
Cinderella and I went to the Silent Dance Party before dinner tonight!
A fun character dance party before lunch!
The background for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique photos looks a bit different in an Alaska cruise. Extra magical with the beautiful scenes behind my princess!
Who can tell where we are starting our day? A little princess magic for my youngest!
Team Bing B**g for the win at the Inside Out Game tonight! The family friendly game shows are one of my kids favorite parts of the cruise. Taking home two Chip and Dale medals is just a bonus after the fun of playing!
On the night when Beef Wellington was on the menu, one of my teenage boys decided to order four. And he could! It's all included on a Disney Cruise. Any guesses if he finished it all?
Someone made a surprise appearance on the Disney Wonder tonight ... and we got to see her!
I'm excited to explore the town of Ketchikan this afternoon. It looks postcard perfect!
55 degrees and swimming because why not?!? I'm about to brave the heated pool as well to swim with my kids. I'm more worried about getting out then getting in 😂
Up bright and early to catch Inside Out 2 before a day in Ketchikan! Disney Cruise Line has two theatres in each ship and plays a variety of first run movies all day, which are included with your cruise fare.
Taylor Swift's reported favorite drink, the French Blonde before dinner on the Disney Wonder! I could get behind one of these each night, for sure. If only I could take my Disney Cruise Line bartenders home with me.
Not a bad view while I read my book at the pool (under a Disney provided blanket) with hot chocolate. We had a long day in Juneau, so taking a bit of time to relax!
We took the Goldbelt Tram 1,800 feet above Juneau for some amazing views!
We spent the morning at Mendenhall Glacier and now are having lunch at the World Famous Red Dog Saloon in Juneau. The menu is cracking up my kids who can read ... it definitely wouldn't pass Disney's standards 😉
Good morning from Junea, Alaska! We are headed to the Mendenhall Glacier today and then plan to explore town ... unless we're too tired (which is a possibility!).
We had a magical whale watching experience in Icy Point Strait. A mega pod of 12 to 15 humpback whales arrived in the area last night and is already leaving for Juneau, but we managed to see them on our tour. A mega pod only happens once a year and the group isn't together very long, so this was amazing. My husband took a video of the second time the whales actually swam under our boat. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience!
We are back from a long, magical day in Icy Point Strait. It's so nice to walk on the ship and be greeted by hot cocoa. Just one of those Disney extras that are so appreciated!
It might be cold in Alaska, but it's never too cold for an ice cream cone in deck. My middle son is going for a record with his ice cream consumption this cruise!
Good morning from Icy Point Strait, Alaska! We have a whale watching tour on tap today followed Hoonah sightseeing and tribal dance. Then tonight we have a prem-ear of Inside Out 2! My kids are carb loading with room service croissants to prepare for the day. Each morning, we've run out, so this morning I just ordered an even dozen. 😂 The best part is, most room service items are included with your cruise fare.
When one kid isn't ready for bed or to leave the kids club, but another one is, it's time for split parenting. I'll make the sacrifice and grab a blanket, a glass of wine, and read on deck 4 with some amazing views while my husband puts my daughter to bed.
PS -- it's 10:15 Alaska time and still this light.
The Freezing the Night Away Deck Party was a ton of fun. Disney can't do the pirates party with fireworks in Alaska because of the potential to disturb animals, but that doesn't mean there isn't a theme night! Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, Kristoff, and dancers put on an amazing show ... complete with snow. My daughter even got her photo with Elsa's dancers. And thankfully there were blankets on deck to keep everyone warm.
Today was glacier day for the Disney Wonder and we had the opportunity to take a smaller boat (that pulled up to our ship) and get up close with the Dawes Glacier in Endicott Arm. I can't even explain how amazing this experience was. We saw tons of seals, glacier calving, and got closer to the glacier than our captain had been in six years. We all even got to hold a piece of an iceberg. Truly an amazing way to spend the day!
Usually there is always a movie playing on the funnel screen on a Disney Cruise. During certain times on an Alaska cruise, the movies are off. The reason? The sounds from the movie are too loud for the local wildlife. Disney really does take all things into consideration when cruising.
There's lots of free hot chocolate and coffee on the outside decks today, but for the adults, you always have the option of adding some extra warmth! There are also amazing Alaska travel mugs for sale ... and one is coming home with me. I couldn't resist!
The characters special Alaska costumes are amazing! And it's so sunny today, which isn't always the case.
The lines for characters in their Alaska costumes are long, but the views are amazing.
Good morning from the inside passage of Alaska!! What a wonderful surprise when we opened our curtains this morning to see the mountains. And since we booked an inside stateroom and Disney upgraded us to this view, we are so thankful, even if there is an obstruction. It's simply amazing!

Four days until my family's Alaska sailing on the Disney Wonder and I have not packed a thing. So I could use a moment of zen ... and a personal packer (is that a thing? I feel like it should be).
The Grand Floridian is one of my favorite Disney resorts. I avoided staying there with my family for years, thinking it was "too stuffy," but once we tried it, I changed my mind immediately. It's such a relaxed, wonderful resort with amazing pools, a location you can't beat, and fabulous renovated rooms.
1900 Park Fare is open! I cannot wait to check out this meal on my next trip. Fun fact to know and tell, the organ in 1900 Park Fare, Big Bertha, was originally located at an amusement park in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, my hometown. Ramona Park closed in 1955 and the organ was in storage for many years until it was restored and made its way to the Grand Floridian. Maybe that's why I like this restaurant so much!
Is a ride on Haunted Mansion a “must do” for your family? Or is for mine! #disneyworld #magickingdom #hauntedmansion #familyfriendly
We caught the Festival of Fantasy parade in Frontierland today! Elsa blew a kiss to my daughter at the end of the video ... and I may have teared up a bit. The magic of Disney never gets old!
I love all the entertainment that is sprinkled around Animal Kingdom! It's magic around every corner.
