Winter is here and all the leaves have fallen but a weekend getaway at our lakeside cabin is a good way to escape the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

We’ve just added a bigger fire ring for our guests who love being outdoors! Just build a fire and make some s’mores!

These photos were taken last summer. At this time, most of our trees’ leaves have fallen . I only wish fall foliage lasted a bit longer. But to be honest, I also love seeing dead leaves with yellow, orange and golden hues on the ground 🍁🍂🍁 However, the massive leaf clean-up to follow is another story 😳🙄😵

We have a few Junifer berries on the property . Aren’t they so pretty ? They can be used to make holiday decor , wreaths, and table arrangements. They have an astringent, pine-like taste, which makes them a popular ingredient for seasoning recipes and infusing beverages.
