Last night, we attended the 6th Annual Academy of United States Veterans “Vettys” awards where veteran support nonprofits from around the country join to celebrate their collective journey. In a great surprise, WMF was recognized for our contributions in helping veterans combat PTSD. We are incredible honored and proud of our team for their dedication and passion in this mission.

Warrior Music Foundation is partnering with Helping Harmony Music Therapy to offer access to an on-staff music therapist who can help build an individualized therapy plan and/or refer the applicant to services at third party medical/therapy providers. All lessons (both in-person and online) will be guided by the Helping Harmony team to ensure the teachers, coaches and staff are educated in all issues relevant to our program needs.

So proud to be a part of this amazing program. We are seeing firsthand the strength and resilience of the Vets in this program!

The strumming of a ukulele fills a music studio in Millersville, and Army veteran Nandkumar Singh starts to sing. He has been taking lessons at Priddy Music for 12 weeks through the Warrior Music Foundation, a charity that provides free music therapy to vets suffering from post-traumatic stress.

We are so proud to be partnered with Warrior Music Foundation and honored they were selected for this prestigious award!

We were notified this week that Warrior Music Foundation has been selected as the winner of Maryland's William Donald Schaefer "Helping People" Award!

Established in 2012, the Schaefer Award is presented to the individuals and organizations in each county and Baltimore City best exemplifying William Donald Schaefer’s lifelong commitment to helping people. Winners are selected based on their demonstration of: improving the community; swiftly solving a citizen problem through effective government intervention; directly aiding the most vulnerable in society; or creating a public/private partnership to improve the lives of Marylanders.

This is a testament to the dedication of our therapists and instructors as well as the courage of our students. We are humbled and grateful.
